I do hope the VAR panel have a look at the Sitters sending off though. I think it’s clumsy. And it’s clearly wreckless. But there’s not huge intent there and it’s lacking the force for me for it to be a red. Maybe a yellow and subbed off temporarily for his own sake but you hate to see those players who have that flair and creativity to really bring some excitement to the fans end their season in that manner. I never claimed you were chucked from here, you're complaining about factually incorrect posts whilst literally making stuff up.
You piled into that thread saying some get more leeway than others and made it perfectly clear who you meant with the signature.
The innocence act is both insulting and ridiculous as is rewriting history whilst complaining about non-existent rewriting of history.
Just because you're upset that sitters can't control himself doesn't mean you have to target me. As I said, I've not had an issue with you and your attack from nowhere was uncalled for.

There have been occasions recently when I've been minded to give up on TWTD because of the nasty nature of debate on threads like the pulled one.
Some people don't debate the issue but instead resort to personal abuse which often seem related to grievances they have due to previous interactions presumably over many years.
Bearing grudges, ganging up with others, bringing up past comments or interactions and being truculent is very childish, and I think that there are some on here who need to take a long, hard look a themselves.
I might add that I wouldn't have put Sitters in this category, but I don't know what went on that led to his ban.
And I will especially miss his posting of away ticket information.

Hadn't realised Sitters had been red carded.
Genuinely, I asked him if he was OK, as he had seemed to got himself royally worked up on here over the past couple of days.
I didn't see the thread(s) last night, so not sure what has gone on or with whom.
I value this forum massively - although I don't think I have met anyone in the flesh from here, there are a lot of diverse people who's musing and meanderings I find amusing, supportive, insightful etc.
Over the years, this has been a good place for me to spend time and I would hate to see people leave etc.

That's not really fair on the majority who are able to discuss these things in at least semi-civilised manner and would like to continue to do so. Filters and the blocking facility are there for a reason.
Besides, posts about the footy can get just as contentious, especially when Town lose, which is going to happen plenty this season! |  |

TWTD would lose a lot by becoming solely about the football, rather than a meeting place for ITFC fans to discuss whatever they feel like. Plus, as others have said, it'd be very unlikely to prevent arguments.

But you know as well as I do that is not going to happen, so many juveniles on here it is untrue. Maybe another option would be to divide the forum up, a football section and a "general" section for everything else, then those that just want football chat don't have to view all the other stuff, and yes I know you don't have to click on the other threads but the temptation is always there, I vowed not to go on the Letby thread but still did it anyway because it was right in front of me. | | | |

I tend to just ignore it, I get a headache trying to figure out who is on what side or who is targeting who. If a thread hasn't completely runaway from the original point I'll add my opinion on the matter and accept all the uppies and downies coming my way (top tip: never take these personally). If someone throws a personal barb my way, oh well.
I did get bizarrely labelled a Nazi recently for daring to give my view on the practicality of international power structures regarding the Israel/Palestine situation, thankfully Mr Ham nipped that in the bud pretty fast. | |
