Forgot Wolf Hall. Brilliant (the Mantel books are great too)
Tinker Taylor, Lovejoy, House of Cards all easily candidates, as is The Sweeney, Not the Nine O’Clock News, Young Ones and last but not least Rowan Atkinson’s three programme series Maigret.
And very last but not least the Martin Clunes series Manhunt and its sequel. Gripping, chilling and beautifully acted.
