Well that will go nowhere if they havent been named... And even if they had, they would need to prove serious commercial loss and avoid the defence of honest opinion...

It's basically an admission of guilt isn't it.

It's the exact behaviour that got city into this rich brats of owners who can't hear no and don't realise the implications of throwing an airline company into the mess like a toy out the pram.

No second thoughts for the pilots, crews, engineer teams and others who lose jobs if it hits the fan

bullying to try to get the F.A to back off. Rather imples they are involved . If they aren't in the know and involved with the deception, they should be threatening to sue Man City for harming image and reputation . F.A are going to have to show some cahones.

I assumed that was going to read against Man City. Surely they are who has damaged their reputation if they are guilty!

Well you know what they say. Best means if defence is attack, and the wounded animal is fighting fir its life. Who will win, MC or the PL and which side of the fence will all the other PL clubs come down on?

Begining of the end for the greedy PL ?

I am not up to speed with all of this like many others on here, but, one thing I will say is that if they can buy themselves into this situation, they can likely buy themselves out of it as well.

These operators, ownership groups, sponsors and hangers on are mega mega rich, 1bn here and there to them is nothing, petty cash.

Who'd have thought a club would be more powerful than the governing bodies in the game in this country . But they are , and what's more they KNOW they are.

tbf, that hasn't been shown to be true yet (unless I've missed something!).

If City do get away with it, I wonder whether the other clubs will stand for it.

I suppose it a question of what IS the right punishment ? They're not even accepting they're guilty despite the findings. There are suggestions that the clubs influence and baring on the PL and the city of Manchester is so high , that to deal them a hefty punishment would be counter productive to the PL itself and also the Manchester city as a whole, because the the amount of revenue thus one club generates .... and there's that talk of money again , and not what's morally right for the game. The game as a whole is a busted flush now . and the PL is hopefully going to implode on itself for the good of the game at ALL levels because atm it all reeks of corruption, money, and love of money, at the expense of everything else.

FWIW I think MC should be kicked out of the league, but as a mate of mine said there's a number of punishments that could be given to them..

1) Eye watering fine
2) demoted to League Two.
3) No promotion from that level, for 5 years ( regardless of where they finish)
4) Banned from ALL cup competitions for 5 years

Any of the above , or ALL of them .

The same Etihad Airways owned by The Abu Dhabi Sovereign Wealth Fund?
The same Abu Dhabi Sovereign Wealth Fund chaired by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed?
The same Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed who's brother is Sheikh Monsour owner of Man City?

How odd.

Yeah, as others, I don't think it's that interesting. Maybe desperate more than interesting.

It's an admission of guilt, which is a last resort tactic, and then it's also trying to outsource the legal argument to another government arm that I understand was already covered in the legal argument. It seems desperate and punching the pinball machine buttons in hope without any strategy.

I think the more interesting discussion is what punishment will be and what the hive fallout from that will then be. Luckily, in many ways, Ipswich are only entangled through potential benefit of City relegation, bit their glory period coincided to with our low tide. Otherwise it could be messy, as it will be for many clubs I think.

It's just a warning shot to back off. This kind of accountability doesn't really exist in the UAE and denial is their only real option atm.

I know that was then, but it could be again..
