I though along with Ouattara he was one of our better players in the first half. Did so much work off the ball which doesn't get the plaudits, should have had a penalty or at least a free kick on the edge of the box and linked up really well with Ouattara considering the right side of the pitch isn't his natural position. I backed others to start ahead of him today but completely glad I was wrong. Him and Outtara dominated the right wing today and he was fantastic going forward.

His actual technical ability however I feel is champ standard. Head down. Trip over or find an opponent

from the 1st half ? there was one where he just unfortunately lost his footing trying to run in to get on the end of a cross, but he didnt claim for a pen, so that might not have been it.

Thought he was unlucky honestly. Think Frimmers is right, he's not the greatest technically but he's lightning fast and does not stop running, whether we're attacking or defending. Always moving.
I'm sure we'd all prefer Fatawu on the right, but Maeda being able to play on either wing is so handy. Imagine being run ragged for 60 odd minutes and watching him come on. |  |
