| Russell Brand described as an actor and comedian 19:34 - Oct 14 with 4949 views | GlasgowBlue | Has he ever been funny? Other than the time he dipped into politics and one of our members followed him like a cult. That was funny. Reading today's court proceedings, what an utter scumbag he is. Doesn't seem to understand the meaning of the word "no". [Post edited 14 Oct 19:34]

| Russell Brand described as an actor and comedian on 13:11 - Oct 15 by Coastalblue | I've heard some horrible stories about Mr Brand, from ladies I knew who had some dealings with him. Sadly with everything going on it will have to stay as that tw4t on twtd said he once heard something because I'm not sure Phil would thank me otherwise. |
Yes, absolutely best that you post nothing until after the trial is complete.

You can't really say someone's a bad comedian if you haven't seen one of their stand up shows. It was me who mentioned the Sachs affair. You're quite right, he took part - but it was actually Ross who shouted "he slept with your grandaughter" and Brand got dragged into it through that. That's not to excuse it, but you didn't even mention Ross and said it was Brand being a bully. |
You are missing the bit where Brand already knew that he had slept with Sachs' granddaughter before they began the call.

Off his rocker the last few years though

| Russell Brand described as an actor and comedian on 15:06 - Oct 15 by MJallday | you know its bad when even bob geldoff refers to brand as a c*** innocent until proven guilty and all that - but after the stuff thats come out in the first 24 hours, innocent or not, his career is effectively over. what is it he actually does these days btw? some sort of facetube thing i think? |
If he gets off or even doesn't, he won't even be effected career wise - his career is currently a grifter on socials and that will continue because anyone who still follows him will believe it is part of some deep state bringing him down He's so far outside the mainstream now, but people like him can't really be stopped on these alternate ventures and building audiences because they go direct to customers and earn fortunes

Not sure that's relevant. They were calling to find out why he wasn't on the show, it's only because Ross blurted out "he slept with your granddaughter" that it turned from a silly/fun message into something much worse.

Surely it'll be impacted if he's in prison though?

How did Ross know that Brand had slept with Sachs' granddaughter? Because Brand told him. They didn't have to phone him Live On Air. Producers or Production Assistants would usually handle that beforehand. The tone of it was that the two of them were giggling over it before Ross said that. If Brand was mortified about the possibility of talking to the grandfather of one of his sexual partners then the phone call wouldn't have happened, or Ross would have been unaware of the sexual history. My take is that Brand was up for some taboo, edgy stuff, even if it was Ross who blurted out the indiscretion.

Can't imagine it will be a long served sentence even if guilty, but no real idea on that

Brand isn’t the first bloke to tell his mates who he has shagged - and he won’t be the last. I don’t particularly wish to defend the fella but maybe he didn’t think that Ross would bring it up. I’m sure lots of celebrities have slept with other celebrities with such encounters not in the public domain. But they are able to conduct interviews etc without blurting such information out.

I simply responded to a post about the incident with some context/facts around what actually happened and how Ross was the actual instigator. I'm not defending Brand, but everything you've said is supposition. Phoning Sachs live on air was the joke... regardless of what Ross knew, Brand couldn't possibly know he'd shout it out.
