….as it’s not their fault they are in this mess. But they seem to be revelling in it, judging by the chants in the end next to the away end. ‘We’re going down with millions in the bank’, ‘gettin mauled by the cheaters’ etc. i have lost any respect I had for them. I now hope they get hit hard.

I thought the City fans were pretty good today TBH. A bit of banter that’s all. Made me chuckle when we were singing ‘Salford away olez olez’ and they replied with ‘Ipswich away olez olez’
It’s not their fault is it. They love their club like the rest of us

Footy fans will always choose banter over humility, I wouldn’t take it too seriously.
Exactly, what would we do if ( and I shudder to think so ) the boot was on the other foot. It's the owners that have landed City in this mess, no one else.

Theyve just become a bit naff and superficial really! A financially doped inauthentic juggernaut husk of a club that lost its soul many years ago. Farcical.
I remember them singing “we’ll buy your club and burn it down” last time at PR and thinking how tragically lacking in any humour or wit. Kind of a sad and vacuous existence.

Isn’t that just gallows humour though? I have little sympathy but you can’t expect the fans to stop supporting their team, they are the innocent party in all this.
I heard they were chanting to us ‘you’re going down with the Citeh…’, made me laugh anyway

It's not really gallows humour when a significant number refuse to acknowledge they've done anything wrong and back the cheating. They're evidently proving they're not the innocent party, everyone has also known for years what they are it's hardly a surprise.

They know. And they knew. And whilst they didn't run the show they supported it and stole all that joy from other fans. Stuff em.

Sod em, honestly at this point they are like the Man U fans of the 90s. They have no real idea of what not finishing in the top 2 is like truly anymore. Take the punishment and only then they will learn the humility.
We are football fans not self flagellating Opus Dei. The bananas are fun and a reminder of City support in leaner times and a message of defiance. You think we are cheats, but City fans think our club has been targeted by rival clubs.
The Etihad sponsorship was reviewed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport and they found that there was no doubt that Etihad Airways met the sponsorship arrangement in full. I forget the exact wording but no doubt was in there.
The PL did not even call for evidence from Etihad Airways after a 2 year long investigation. It is a farce. How do you accuse an company of fraud without calling on them to give evidence and giving them an opportunity to defend themselves. There are reports that Etihad will sue the Premier League, and I hope they do.
Anyway the main reason I came on here was to post a match day vlog in case you were interested but I found this topic. It is not my vlog but it is one I follow. I think it is unfair. I was near your end, and there was no hostility towards your fans, so what is this about? We are just supporting our team.

Oh please. This targeted by other clubs nonsense is embarrassing. Cheats. Who stole the joy of trophies from other clubs.
City have been able to offer whatever evidence they wished. No basis for suing anyone.

I very much doubt it’s Man City who are the only team that have ‘cheated’.
Well...when another team is found guilty of 114 charges that enabled them to cheat their way to a stack of silverware, we'll start a thread for them as well

Stayed in Manchester and at dinner last night a few shall we say more seasoned city fans invited me and my son on to their table for a drink (son was wearing an enciso top). It sounds awful supporting them as an “old (ish) school” football fan but they’ve seen their team win things they never expected to and there was a “nirvana” period they said a few years back. They only go to the big games now and latter stages of europe.
The older heads don’t bother me and they’ll obviously enjoy a reunion with lower leagues if that’s what happens.

A simple question - if Man City did nothing wrong, why did they do everything possible to obstruct the investigation?

Significant number? None that I spoke to yesterday.
"They break our legs and tell us to be grateful when they offer us crutches."

Targeted by other clubs - give your heads a wobble. You are cheats and will be punished. The defiance is a joke - wake up

What about ‘Andy’s’ involvement with them nobody has seemed to mention that much on here …
