Skyfall is almost certainly the best standalone film but I don't know many other Bond fans who would say it's their favourite film if that makes sense.
Thunderball or The Spy Who Loved Me would get my vote - closely followed by OHMSS - with Lazenby. Massively underatted that one.

Agree on OHMSS a brilliant film with a great storyline. Had Connery stayed the plaudits would have it right up there. Live and Let Die or You Only Live Twice get my other votes.
Casino Royale is the high point of recent Bondage. Skyfall also good though, the other Craig's are a bit 'meh' for me.
I think we should only tolerate so much 'reinventing' for modern sensibilities sake when it comes to Bond. He's *supposed* to be womaniser and a sadist. CR did a good job of explaining how he got there.
Going non-white would be ok in my book, but I don't think they'd dare. Remember the initial fuss when Daniel Craig was announced just because he's blond.

Bearing in mind there's now about 1 Bond movie every 5 years, I don't get the fuss.
They'll pick a new Bond actor. Then there will be drawn out hype to revealing the title of the next film. Then there will be drawn out hype to revealing the villain. Then there will be drawn out hype to revealing the artist doing the title song. Then there will be drawn out hype to revealing several of the Bond Girls. Then they'll actually start filming the bloody thing. Should be ready in 2031. It's all a bit tedious. Just go away & make it. Everybody else seems to make films quicker than this. Even Star Wars could probably make a trilogy in the time it takes to make a Bond film.

Quality over quantity. Rather they focus on keeping the IP strong rather than rush out a release schedule a la Marvel in recent times.

What didn't you like about the ending of LOST?
Just thought it was a big anti climax, was expecting something different than what happened. Maybe I need to watch it again? From memory they weren't supposed to be dead the whole time?
If you can tell me why you thought was good I'd love to hear it (genuinely) as maybe I missed something?
