| Shirts 20:05 - Oct 25 with 3582 views | leftback | My lads ‘o’ has started to peel off the halo on the away shirt he’s had for about a month, he’s 16 so it’s worn more like fashion item rather than playing footy in it every opportunity like he would have done 10 years ago! Anyone has similar problems with quality? Maybe just a dodgy one? Anyone has experience with club shop if they’re likely replace?? | | | | |
| Shirts on 20:40 - Oct 25 with 2858 views | le2blue | Club has had lots of issues with Castore product quality and logistics since they took over Umbro, including stars upside down on the home kit, branding peeling, as well as late delivery of the third kit, which is why they're not renewing their contract. | | | |

Surely it would be Hal, hal? FWIW, I thought the second kit looked a really cheap/poor quality shirt when I saw it in the shop, so didn't get it despite liking the design. I've got the home shirt and that is much better quality though.

Will upside down stars make it a rarity in the future?? Or is it the correct way round that are the rare ones?!

They will blame the customer, say it wasn't washed correctly. A lot of the first run shirts last season had the sponsors peel off within days and thats how the club avoided the refunds.

That's not good customer relations. Who are they trying to emulate, Ryan Air?

Yeah, the fabric on the away shirt is terrible. Very similar to the fabric on the burgundy shirt in the last PL season, which was an absolute moisture trap.

If it's within 6 months the club would have to prove that the fault wasn't inherent. Can't just assume bad washing....

Yep wasn't the greatest ad for quality product was it, funnily enough im convinced last time it happened in the Premier league, it was a "CaStore" shirt, possibly Villas

I guarantee you though there are people that just chuck it in the boil wash, with bio wash or a cup of diluted bleach as thats how their grandparents washed things and then wonder why it falls apart

It's 2026 and the way things adly work now. They won't even take shirts back that were bought in the wrong size but have Premier League badges on as thats "personalisation". Rather than swallowing the loss and bargain-binning the Prem-badge shirt that someone else would still buy, they make the customer rebuy the shirts. It's all mass produced vinted-fodder these days anyway, people buy them at full price and then within weeks (as the bills come in) they are selling them for £20 anyway. It's a sad state of consumerist insanity we live in.

They do, and will. It was reported multiple times last season with the Halo logos coming off. It's cheap material, poor printing, sold at premium prices.
