We last walked on the moon 45 years ago. Generally astronauts of that era are decorated servicemen being 35 or older. I'm not sure old age can be considered a conspiracy.
Definitely suspicious. There are also no surviving witnesses of the battles of Waterloo, Hastings, Marston Moor, Culloden, Balaclava, Spion Kop, Cannae, Alesia or Crecy to name but a few. Someone obviously wanted to silence them too...

so you admit they did actually walk on the moon?
When I lived in America I met a bloke who had some very interesting stuff in terms of photos and videos that he showed me that did raise a number of very interesting questions about the entire moon space flight series.
One was who was on the moon to photograph the first landing?

But no one has witnessed anything that will happen next week!!!
That isn't quite true (or false) the woman on the BBC was video'd talking about the 3rd tower to fall after the attack on the twin towers. This intersting bit was that, at the time she was filmed the building in question was still visible over her shoulder. Maybe the first BBC prophecy?

Well, obviously the photographers had to get there first, to set up the equipment.
If only they'd have thought of putting a camera on the legs of the lunar module. Armstrong could then have operated it remotely by a cord, capturing the moment he actually set foot on the moon.

Yeah, the Russians were happy to let the US have propaganda victory and not tell everyone it didn't happen.

It is strange that the US is still deemed to have won the Space Race by many when the Russians comprehensively beat them to pretty much everything bar the moon.
As for it being in 1969, it must have been since the Clangers documentary series also began in that year.

The last survivor of the American Civil War was still alive in 1956.

The Russians did make most of the major milestones, mainly because Sergei Korolev was a genius. His death in 1966 really put the Russians on the back foot.
However the US also screwed up. They could have beaten the Russians to the first satellite but they insisted on using US companies before they gave Von Braun a go. The first US rocket failed and the Russians beat them.

Yes in the US case, no in the Russian case. Korolov was in a gulag as he had been denounced. They had to release him so he could work on the rockets, he was Russian though.
Germany tech would have helped but his engine designs were different to Von Braun.

Never had you down as a Pazz/CIL conspiracy nut, Luccers.
Two points:
You're a nut if you think people don't conspire and therefore conspiracies don't exist. I've never voiced my opinions on the moon landing, because it's not an area I've spent any real time looking into.
That's because when they made the moon landing movies at MGM studios they used asbestos to create the moon dust and no one knew the of the dangerous of asbestos. Which is the real irony actually landing on the moon would have probably been less dangerous
