Her show is odd.

She plays a lot i stuff I really like, but then plays half an hour of ambient b0ll0cks that is so dull it annoys me.

So yes, I last longer than a minute, but almost always switch off at some point.

I struggle with both with MAH & Laverne at breakfast.

Pleasant surprise to listen to Mark Radcliffe this morning before reaching for the off button.

	Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.

My thoughts entirely. She's so gooey and 'sincere'. It's as if she's taken the advice to heart that you should pretend you're talking to just one person, - but for that one person she's chosen a twelve-year-old who's just fallen off a bike.

Replying slightly sideways- Laverene annoyed me years ago when she stated that there was no point buying tickets for the Olympics in London as the best way to view was on the telly. When someone in the audience (for whatever show it was) said exactly the same about Glastonbury she had a proper meltdown.

For some reason she has annoyed me ever since.

Slightly related i'm always jealous of Dan Walker on BBC Breakfast News. 3 days a week in the morning and then Football Focus and probably £250k pa. salary to boot. Happy Days.

He’s excellent, one of the true stars of the BBC. But when he’s away for some reason , Radio 3 have their own Mary Ann Hobbs ready to take over, speaking the same gushing confidential tones.

She's dreadful for the reasons others have stated on this thread. Keavney was perfectly good on breakfast and his schtick doesn't seem to work so well in the afternoons.

Laverne's OK from 7:30 but again, seemed to suit the late morning better than the slot she's currently in. They should get Chris Hawkins to do a proper breakfast show slot - 7.00 til 10.00 or 6.30 until 9.30.

Steve Lemacq's surely on borrowed time too.

You know its struggling when you start having versions of usual features, but with kids.

Best show on 6 is Mark Riley, but always enjoy Gideon Coe and Tom Robinson too. The shows which are least influenced by the playlist.

This is pretty much where I'm at, 6Music is generally great but Mary Ann Hobbs has me reaching for the off button at some point during her show on a regular basis.
