Fookin gorgeous day for cycling guys - literally no traffic around :-)

If you don't get that bike out the shed today/tomorrow - you probably never will!

Watch out for the pedestrians though - they're everywhere at the moment!

Surprising how many large groups of cyclists live in the same house ( round my way )

I’m in the garden with Seb.

The neighbour with big tits next door is walking topless round their garden.

I just wish his wife would too....

I went yesterday morning, had a 6 mile run today, so giving it a rest today.

Roads are quiet which makes it much easier, had more problems with people over the last week.

And they come charging down the lanes, endangering pedestrians, and panting their germs out at passers by.

A full afternoon on the buke is not "essential exercise".

Nor, come to it, is a picnic down by the stream. Most of the people taking exercise past my house this afternoon have fecking backpacks on...

Why would you take a backpack for essential exercise? These people are out walking for the day or taking picnics.

25 mile runs. 15 mile walks was never reasonable exercise. Its excessive to say the least. I note that the media and government are now saying around an hour is reasonable. People just cant help but bend what appears reasonable. Many on this site included.

Shopping? Down our lane? With hiking sticks and a full backpack?

These people are picnickers.

Hiking sticks suggests they might just be hikers?

Hikers tend to carry a whole load of things with them Bully, from waterproofs, first aid kits, food and water, maps, compasses...

Part of being a responsible hiker Bully, is to help ensure you are not a burden to the emergency services. Going out without any of the above could get you in trouble in the wrong circumstances.

Whether a long hike meets your definition of "essential exercise" is a different matter and not one I suspect we are ever going to agree on. But such is life eh.

Aren't the government guidelines that people should only be out for 1 hour of exercise a day though? No need for all that gear for an hour as you can't get far from your house unless you've driven in which case they would be breaking more rules.

Today I shall be close to the 1 hour exercise rule if I get a chance as I want to cycle along the towpath to Enfield Lock and back which according to Google will take 45 minutes each way but I'd hope to do it in less than that (32km in total). We will see how it goes.

I haven't cycled all week so really need to get out.

You are allowed one form of exercise a day. The 1 hour thing was a random Gove pronouncement....make a day of it Stokie, pack a picnic in a rucksack.

I’ve got Seb today. I’ve been planning a morning or afternoon ride though. Out to the Angel and back. Should take a good few hours of different terrain. Looking forward to that.

Was a good cycle in the end, just over 30km.

Warm out there though and looking like a thunderstorm might be brewing.

Good man.

Exercise is a great for both your physical and mental well being. Can think of quite a few who would benefit from trying it atm :-)
