Contracts expiring on 14:10 - May 5 with 3257 views | JakeITFC | Might not be the worst idea to not take up any options on senior players if you've got a feeling that the market rate might be significantly lower whenever football starts again. Not sure any of those have any particular market value to protect like Dozzell/Dobra.
Contracts expiring on 14:12 - May 5 with 3242 views | Kieran_Knows | I suspect Skuse will get a new deal regardless, but wouldn't be that fussed to see the other 4 leave this summer.

Realistically Roberts is gone, Rowe is likely gone as has never done anything here for a variety of reasons which leaves Skuse, Edwards and Keane I think keeping Skuse about in some role is worthwhile, that Edwards has done enough and Keane is probably up in the air (even though I rate him) But agree, they probably need to be left until there is some clarity - although Edwards may need some value protected on him

I don';t think it's formally signed as yet so just taking the option up until pen hits paper

Ah cool, I guess the headline was 'agreed new deal' rather than 'signed'. I hope it all goes through, I have high hopes for Dobs.

Agree with that. Edwards is the sort of player who will go to another club, play in a consistent team and have fans wondering why we let him go in a few months time. I don't think he's been as poor this season as popular opinion makes out, just not lived up to that first couple of months. Keane looked to be an asset in December and January and then has forgotten how to score since (issues with creativity obviously noted here).

Agree but I would imagine Edwards & Keane on high wages so I reckon they will let go, I still think think Rowe could do a job lower wages as well

Yes, exactly that, he's in London at the moment. Those two were actually activated ages ago but the club didn't report them, probably got overlooked with everything going on.

I think most of Hurst's signings were on quite small money, and subsequently had it cut in half on relegation so doubt Edwards will be on much more than £2-3k a week

Given that Football League clubs may have next to no income for the foreseeable future, why trigger extensions for any of the older players? I doubt many other clubs will be in position to offer them any sort of contracts.

With these decisions being made on these players, you’ve got to think PL will still very much be at the helm whether that’s restarting this campaign or commencing the new season. Need to accept he’s our manager for the foreseeable.

Steve, I don't believe that you watch Edwards and see ability. I know most on here struggle with that sort of thing but I am sure that you can see how poor he has been and is. He completely lacks natural footballing ability and awareness. Take away his pace and he would struggle at village level

Contracts expiring on 15:07 - May 5 with 3007 views | flimflam | Keep Rowe and possibly Edwards, not too fussed bout the others. Lankaster, Morris and a few other youngsters still to come back from injury. Throw em all in pre season and see where we end up. We must keep Wolfie and Downes though!!!

Yep, when pro football eventually starts, us & every other club will be in turmoil, with no money & trying a re-boot under those circumstances wouldn't make sense.

Just think there's something about him, he's a footballer, nice with the ball. In a decent fluid system he could be very useful. For this to happen, PL has to go, of course.

Remember we won a LOT of games with Rowe playing and our form has massively dipped when he's been out of the side. He's tidy and more than decent for this league.

Far better footballer than Edwards but not sure he fits into a system for us

Contracts expiring on 09:42 - May 6 with 2508 views | RobTheMonk | I'd get rid of Roberts and probably Keane. I just don't have faith that Keane will be injury free for more than 10 games. Rowe is a maybe. Keep Skuse and Edwards. Skuse has bags of experience so can help the younger guys and Edwards is a useful squad player. KVY and Edwards on the right is one quick side of the pitch.

Another problem is I think Lankaster is far better and would want him playing, Rowe can only really play in a 4-4-2 and I don't think that will suit us when we need to be playing more of a 4-3-3
