Add to that its a total non story . 24 players needed for the Photo shoot to form NHS tribute at MORNING training 24 were told they are needed for the AFTERNOON shoot , others need not attend but were told which of the next games they are being used in . Everyone goes away fully in the picture. As i understand it dispite what some are saying no players turned up at the shoot expecting to be in it .

Being a grizzled veteran of numerous Friday Flame Wars (on various bulletin boards, including this one) over the past 25 or so years, this is relatively tame! :-)
You are the obsolete SRN4 to my Fairey Rotodyne....
We have very little football wise to talk about, so any little nibble gets jumped on. Don't be to judgemental, we are simple soles with simple thought.

Have posted here for many years. Maybe over 20 years as I was posting around the time we got into the Prem in 2000 and I think a few years prior to this.
I am finding it harder to engage with this board, the level of discourse has plummeted and we seem to be over-run by extremists - both politically and footbally (I know this is not a word).
It seems to be following the social media trend of thoughtless sh*te replacing thoughtful discussion.
I genuinely want to find a forum where Town fans can debate all things Town. Not sure this is the place anymore, which is a great shame.
The sad reality is that I have much better things to do with my time than to waste it here.

I think you've articulated my feelings quite well there.
I find myself getting frustrated and reacting sometimes to some of the stuff. It just seems hateful. There are actual campaigns to get a man sacked on here (just think about that for a minute). To me there is nothing wrong with having an opinion that the manager is not the right man. It is after all a football forum. But to almost religiously post 'Lambert out' and all manner of largely untrue or fabricated nonsense to fit your own rhetoric (which is to hound a man out if his job) I find unacceptable. If Lambert does not have success this season he will lose his job. We don't need all the hateful messages.

You must have wasted a couple of minutes typing that.

Absolutely agree. I used to be able to come on here, read and sometimes post stuff. Although everyone had different views and ideas there was always an air of respect and banter. Now with some posters it is just a case of complete aggression and intolerance if anyone dares to have a different view to them. And no this can’t all be Lambert or Boris’s fault. Or Brexit, Trump, Marcus Evans either.

It is possible to both support the club and think the manager is a waste of space. Those aren't mutually exclusive positions.

I mean did you even read my post?
"To me there is nothing wrong with having an opinion that the manager is not the right man. It is after all a football forum"
Yeah, I also read the bit at the end where you said "Support your club". That's the bit I was responding to. And also the bit where you tried to set limits on how much people express what a useless jeb-end we have in charge.

Case in point, unnecessarily nasty and has a different opinion so must be a 'wasted' few mins.
I thought it was well thought out and made total sense to me.
I don't think a couple of minutes is ever wasted if it articulates a point of view well. Having a difference of opinion is fine by the way.
He said he'd got better things to do than waste his time on here. I always find it curious when people write lengthy posts telling everyone what a waste of time the forum is. It's somewhat ironic, hence my response.

Think you’re on sticky ground your ‘support the club’.
I think we’d be better with another manager. I’m not clamouring for Lambert to Ben sacked. Why? Apathy maybe, maybe it’s more my mind set to allow hope too much credence. I want Lambert to succeed but in reality I’ve seen next to no reason why I’d think he will. Maybe if I was a better supporter I’d clamour for his sacking, after all it’s what needs to happen....

Indeed. One could make a compelling argument that those who equate supporting the club with supporting Lambert aren't actually putting the club's interests first at all and they are the ones who aren't true supporters of the club. If one wanted to be divisive of course.

To be totally honest if Marcus gives me a ring tomorrow totally unsure what to do, I’ll advise him to sack Lambert. If there was a way I could get him gone without too much effort to myself I’d do it. I’d be happy if he left... but it’s not happening so have to hang some hope on what we have and pray I’m wrong.

I hope we're both wrong too. I'm just struggling to find a shred of evidence that suggests we are.

It's also the message it sends out. It's telling these young players, in fairly brutal terms, that they aren't seen as part of the first team squad.

Yeah I've said elsewhere that sort of treatment is pretty archaic nowadays and the lifestyle of footballers now etc is so different its not different to see why.
Wouldn't surprise me if a couple of them have already asked whoevers representing them to see if they can get out.

Can’t see the big issue re this. Drinan has been given plenty of game time pre season to stake a claim. Dobra and El Miz are clearly around or close the first team squad. nbada and McGavin also are in the mix. There’s nearly 30 guys, they all need to fight (not literally) to get in the first team. Not all of them will make it.
