Could we agree to the following and have one united group of fans behind the team. There's been a fair bit of bickering on both sides. We've all been guilty. Everyone wants the best for the club.
So....
My idea is this. Whatever happens we all give the team the first 10 league games of the season. We just support them and that's it. If after 10 games We are out of the top 6 then we all agree that a change is needed. But until then we just support the team.

And to clarify this is based on the fact Lambert will be manager regardless of opinion. It doesn't delegitimise your opinion that he is the wrong man. It's just a ceasefire to get behind the club and players for first 10 games. Pull in same direction. | |

That's just being normal. Everyone supports the team the whole way through the season but naturally will have issues with various things be it the performance of the manager, some of the players etc. In this specific time, it's rather bizarre that you continually take objection to people criticising the manager who has overseen a limp relegation to League 1 then a dreadful 'attempt' at getting out of it.
You seem to want some Brave New World society where everyone is forced to take happy pills so they're incapable of expressing negative thought. When things are going as badly as they are, it doesn't take much for frustration to boil over to heavy criticism. That's football. That's life. |  |

I'll support the team in every game, but don't see why they should be immune from all criticism if I see something I think is wrong.
I can see what you're getting at - no booing, tutting or loud comments to damage the team's confidence (not that there'll be anyone in the ground to do those things). However, if we're disorganised, playing badly or feebly subsiding to defeat, there's nothing gained by pretending it isn't happening. Particularly on the forum. |  |

I'd agree in the ground as that's almost always counter-productive and the many young players need more support.
But that's not an issue at present.
I do think that some of the anti-Lambert stuff goes way too far though. The bare facts are clear that he's not performed anything like as well as he should so no need to have that carry over into wilder and more personal attacks. That just makes the socially-distanced and online support unnecessarily depressing.
But I think most people are numbed to it rather than split into two sides. A few professional performances and results will help massively. |  |
