Could we agree to the following and have one united group of fans behind the team. There's been a fair bit of bickering on both sides. We've all been guilty. Everyone wants the best for the club.
So....
My idea is this. Whatever happens we all give the team the first 10 league games of the season. We just support them and that's it. If after 10 games We are out of the top 6 then we all agree that a change is needed. But until then we just support the team.

I can't see how you lose. Give the team 10 games (or 8). If we are failing then everyone is united in needing a change. So the only way you don't get YOUR way is if we are succesful. Isn't that win win for you?! |

I get what you’re saying and appreciate the idea behind it but I really cannot see what we have to be positive about at the moment. An out-of-ideas manager, players who still haven’t hit to grips with the required style of play, a lack of creativity, a disaster of last season and few signs of lessons being learned.
I get you’re right - Lambert isn’t going yet. But I don’t know if we can afford to give him ten games if/when it all goes wrong either. | |

If you're prepared to flex on 10 games to 8, can you flex from top 10 to top 3? Automatic promotion has to be the aim and 10th after 10 games really is not on track for that. We were top after 10 games last season and finished 11th. OK I get a team from mid-table that goes on a good run can still go up but we need to get a solid base and build on it. A team in 10th after 10 games can still be relegated easily enough. |  |

Everything is not happy here, we have a manager who is ten years past any achievement, an owner who has led us to where we are and is more interested in a balanced budget and loss management then the results on the pitch and a team of average third division players, of which a number will go injured as soon as the season starts and claim another years wage here doing sweet fa for the club.
The club is rotten, until we sort that out the support will be divided by those who refuse to accept it and want to look on the positive side and those who are angrily opposing it. |  |

Only flaws in your plan are:
We have signed 3 players (one a back-up keeper, one a back-up striker) so there isn't really a lot of gelling to be done.
There is no splashing of cash at Christmas even if ME did open his cheque book thanks to the salary cap.
