Everyone knows Evans is useless. But we're in an awful position in terms of trying to sell the club - huge debt, few assets, not even our own ground - the next buyer would have to be a very, very rich Ipswich fan to want to get involved in any capacity and they're few and far between.

on a scale of say 1-100 using decimals if you want , just how dull?
are we talking 34.8 or 82.5 or worse?
100 being the dullest of course, but when rating I would like you to give comparisons so some perspective to the actual number can be gauged.
eg. when we beat Bolton in the semi at PR that would have bee 0 on the dull chart but say a Brenner interview where he skirts round every issue other than Dobras endeavour , that would be 92.2.

Well you are right a new manager would still have to work in the terrible structure set up to fail that Evans has implemented at the club and I think we'll be right back here in 2 years after they finally decide to sack him.
However, Lambert himself has done himself no favours. He could have kept his cool, tried to keep people on board and now has decided to pit himself against the fans to get himself a big payout.
He should have never been appointed, but again, thats on Evans. Evans is the problem. |  |

Easy to dismiss this as lunacy but there's some elements of truth within.
I was guilty with Hurst, hands up on this but we've got to be careful that the manager position doesn't get viewed as some poisoned chalice by any prospective bosses.
We're not that plucky Premier League team or mid table championship team punching above our weight. We are what we've become - a 3rd division football team and a manager's graveyard.
I'm not gonna join the cacophony calling for Lambert's head, it's too late for him but let's stop with the banners, the songs for the manager and the backslapping 'til the new man has proven his worth next time round.
We've got to stop looking like fecking idiots to anyone outside of this football club and without a vested interest. [Post edited 2 Dec 2020 9:19]
