Woke up @ 5am & was shocked to see England were batting & were 7 for 1. I then checked to see who had done the job to get the last 4 wickets (Moeen x2 & Stone x2).
Damn Sibley just gone as I'm typing, now 16 for 2.
I can see an innings defeat coming here which would see a great run of away results come to a crashing halt.
I'd never say it if I thought it the other way round in case I jinxed it by the way.
No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.
I think Englands hopes heavily rely on how Root, Staokes & Foakes (who did really well against spin in Sri Lanka in the past) bat in the first innings. If we get anywhere near 300 it will be a crap shoot of 3rd vs 4th innings. India have the runs on the board & that makes them favourites atm. One thing is guaranteed is that this wicket will produce a winner.
It's an entirely different level but watching this so far has brought this to mind a couple of times.

Hmmm, that big partnership yesterday looked to be match-defining. All England can do now is try and fresh this innings or as long as possible but it will be a big defeat.

Foakes playing well at the moment.
He’s looking really comfortable at the crease, very composed. Hopefully him and Ali can add a few more to the scoreboard and drag this innings out.
India may even stick us back in here. Could easily have best part of three days off.
Its game over. Rohit’s knock was excellent and, coupled with the toss win, has effectively won this match for India but this is not a test match standard pitch.

Think they'd have been better off putting Leach the Limpet in instead of Stone, to hold up an end while Foakes eaked out enough runs to avoid the follow on.
Mind you, with the wicket disintegrating this badly, we might be better off batting again, assuming we can manage to get something of a lead (by no means guaranteed).
