I went to mine yesterday. They've added a fiver for giving you a disposable mask, and to cover 'associated costs'.
'Associated costs' presumably includes the new Volvos they regularly buy. | |

Going through the same deliberations currently.
No way my dentist would be seen dead in a Volvo, though he is a bit of a go getter. Due to the fact my Mum used to work for him I do know that he doesn't feel his pension will do as it stands, which would equate to about £12K a month on retirement, I'm not sure he'll actually require any pension income though tbh. |  |

I went to the dentist and asked the price for a tooth extraction
"That will be £125" came the reply
"Seems a bit steep...could you not make it any cheaper?" I enquired
"Well ...there is my time and expertise....the anaesthetic....cost of running the clinic, so not really"
"What if we were to miss out on the anaesthetic? Maybe you have a young apprentice who needs some practise? " I suggested
He agreed with this and we settled on a price of £40 cash

I had a bridge (I damaged a front tooth playing football about 20 years ago). The dentist recommended I have a bridge fitted.
The problem is, to have a bridge they have to comprise two healthy teeth to be able to fit the bridge to it - my bridge lasted 10 years until I got an abcess on one of the supporting teeth. I didnt know this at the time but abcesses are a common issue if you have a bridge.
Anyway, 2 years ago I had 2 implants on both of my front teeth - they cost me a small fortune but look and feel amazing.
I cannot recommend enough have an implant rather than a bridge as you are not compromising other healthy teeth.
It's a long journey from start to finish (about 14 months but should last a lifetime).
