Richardson.... 12:53 - May 6 with 1341 views | chrismakin | Deserves a raise What brilliant work. Social media is crazy at the moment. From small local newspapers. To BBC. Sky sports. World news.. Seen some funny people saying tin pot. I dont think these people understand why this is one of the best shirt sponsorships a club can have... esp one in league 1. Richardson... well done

Possibly the most tinpot was when Brighton visited at the end of the 92 season. Not only had they been relegated, but they had a toothpaste kit with Nobo on the front. I felt pity.

They had SKINT on them a few years later. How times changed! We until very recently had a multi-millionaires name on the front of ours while the club lost millions of quid. He was pretty smart to get his name off the shirts before we were relegated...

Richardson.... on 15:28 - May 6 with 733 views | Chrisd | This is the sort of thing in our recent past that we've been utterly p*ss poor at, but credit to the club getting Ed Sheeran on board in some capacity, why not tap into that market? Commercially, I've always felt we've been slow on the uptake, but this is the sort of thing that implies things are slowly turning for the better. A really smart move, I doff my cap to the club!

I’d hazard a guess that his business gained sod all from those 6/7 years of sponsorship. Could’ve been an extra £10m for him / the club over that time..... prime example of awful business logic. “Ah yes. Fans of second tier football, famously the working mans game, are going to be interested in my corporate events and hospitality business so stick my name on the shirts and watch the bookings fly in....”
