Apparently, Norwich have played 41 times in European competition.

Oh, and don't forget the page somebody has made for a specific match:

Truly amazing muppetry, unnecessary muppetry at that.

They should live in the here and now, where, let's face it, they are deficating all over us... But to aggrandize non-achievement just shows an inferiority complex that really shouldn't be there. Though it is a minor crumb of comfort that it does.

That six game period over two seasons taking in European ties with Orient, Fulham and Chelsea, particularly made me chuckle.

Essentially a European Conference League for English, Scottish and Irish clubs. Just something for the teams that didn't get into the European Cup, UEFA Cup or Cup Winner's Cup to do whilst the big boys were busy!

I could go with the Nodgers on that one though. If it was a fully fledged European competition that's another European Trophy to our name.

I couldn't really figure out why we (or Norwich) were in the 1972/73 edition of the Texaco Cup though - in the 9171/72 season we finished 13th in Div 1 and they won Div 2. Just seems like if you were available you were given the nod, but it's a victory in a cup final against the sworn enemy so mustn't grumble!

A massive 41 game European Tour, but a confusing and slightly disappointing three stamps in the passport for fans of such a mighty footballing superpower!

That is absolutely hilarious.

It took me years to get over the fact that they had UEFA cup ‘participants’ pride of place in the honours section of their programme.

And now this.

So if the Texaco Cup was a European trophy we should have FOUR STARS on our shirts! We beat them in the final.
Seriously though their total should read 6 NOT 41!

It was the Britain and Ireland cup the troubles shortened to the Anglo-Scottish cup in later years.
