I don’t know if it’s just because time has passed, or because Hurst and PL were so much worse, but I’m growing to like Keane as a pundit. And I think he does like it really - he’s playing up to it.

He loves it! Plays the miserable pundit part well.

Give all of these a watch, he’s actually quite funny...

I never understood why you never took to Lambert Sitters, he was a terrible football manager who was good at pressers, too.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Like Lambert, he's a lot better at telling us how good he was as a player and currying favour when he's essentially unchallenged than he is actually managing football clubs.

These have been a brilliant watch, pleased you’ve posted these Sitters as I’ve not seen all of them. However, the ones I have seen, Micah really brings the best out of RK and you certainly see a softer side to him. Well worth a watch.

It’s great to see the ‘human’ side of Roy.

I think he even knows he failed (Although he did ok at Sunderland) at management and probably won’t bother with it anymore.

Sky will miss a trick if they don’t give Roy and Micah their own show

I did say let’s give him a chance, in good faith, pre-season last year but that soon went!!

To$$er him.

Should never have got the job and Mick should’ve been allowed to stay

He might not have been the best manager and he certainly made a pig’s ear of it here, but Keane was a magnificent footballer for Forest, Manchester United and the Republic of Ireland and a lot better player than PL was. You don’t have to like the man to admit he was one the best EPL midfielders and a real driving force on the pitch.

Keane commented that they were all in punditry because they'd failed as managers ...

I'm sure the TV companies will be happy to keep paying for the german shepherd's food.

With the benefit of hindsight Keane is the second best managerial appointment in the Evans era. He fell out with players but he didnt relegate us and gave youngsters a chance. I think he has mellowed considerably since then. He and Micah are a great double act and he has a lovely dry wit. I really like him as a pundit now.

No, he isn't.

He was nearly as destructive as Lambert. Keane's squandering of a massive budget set the toe for everything else in the Evans era. He was reason why Mick was never backed.

It goes:
McCarthy
[followed by a substantial drop off in quality]
Jewell
Keane/Hurst on level pegging.
Lambert

I've been wondering whether RK has had some therapy or something. He seems so much more open and willing to tolerate other people. Or maybe it's just because he doesn't think TV needs to be taken as seriously as football itself.

Sure I can. Both should have been sacked by October in their first season. Difference was, Hurst actually WAS sacked in October.

Famous Roy, like Lambert was allowed too long in charge and we've never fully recovered from the carnage he wrought.

...and nearly getting Sunderland relegated. And being a part of the management team that nearly relegated Aston Villa.

He's Paul Lambert with added toxic masculinity.
