Absolute baller. Him and Morsy are the 2 we've been linked with that I've thought I would get properly excited over. We've recruited well, but they're 2 players we have no right to sign at the moment really. Morsy has always looked unlikely and I'm not sure how credible the speculation was, but Crooks would be the sort of player that can properly make the difference. |  |

There's also far from any guarantees that either of those scenarios play out. The only knowns at the moment are that we're in L1 and they're in the Championship. 1 in the hand has to be worth about 8 in the bush. | |

Agreed. Although it must be a bit of a balance for a player choosing between a poss relegation fight in the Champ v promotion push in L1. |  |

But if he's that good will P'boro be in L1 the following season? Town fans talking as he's an excellent footballer, if he is then a good chance P'boro will remain in the Championship.
