That was what I meant. I'll read again and make clearer if it's awkward.

I expect the fee will be the same either way because his value goes to zero after a loan

My thinking too, out of contract after this season so presuming they wont be wanting to keep him

Knowing Everton they'll stick a 5 year deal under his nose.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

Phil, any inkling on whether it will be permanent or a loan?

I know nothing about this guy but I hope it’s a perm not a loan, we have Woolf already who seems to not be on the naughty step so he ought to be our young development guy. What we really need now is a Mowbray/Chambo/Venus type.

I used to live in Reading and have plenty of friends who watched him, albeit it on iFollow last season and they said he was crap. League one at an absolute push.

Rated very highly when he was at Newcastle but his career has stalled somewhat. Change of scenery could be just what he needs. Potentially very good signing but as always there is a risk involved with young inexperienced players

His wage won’t count in 21/22 for FPP purposes either as is the cases for Dobra and El Mizouni. However Ndaba does so it doesn’t look too promising for him.

Sounds like Loan or Perm is just down to the fee. I doubt it will be the same;
Everton will want more for a perm, as they are potentially losing out if he does well and they forfeit a fee next year.
Town have to decide if they definitely want him long term and are prepared to pay extra now for that or whether to loan on the basis of trying for a year with the risk he may cost more next year or go elsewhere

It wouldn’t because he’s still U23 and as long as they offered him a deal they’d be due compo

But PL clubs generally don’t send proper players out for last year, if it is a loan expect a dual announcement from Everton saying he’s signed a new contract

If theres a hint of a perm deal.... youd be surprised if that suddenly turned into a new contract instead.

Only has to be a one year extension, you just don’t see PL clubs send out young players on loan into last year of deal

That's true. I'm hoping a perm move. Would be good to know if we were successful this season that we have him next too.
