I'm a bit lost with all the exits, arrivals and U23 demotions.

Can anyone set out what our current first choice, starting 11 would be, and where the new gaps are to be filled?

As it stands, although Downes won't be here. Assumes Bishop and Jackson to go too. We'll still see a few more faces coming in though, so that line up will certainly change. Not convinced Bonne has been signed to play in a wide role either.

Who knows? Still at least 5 more to come in I reckon, and could be more if we shift the big earners like Jackson and Toto.
Of the new arrivals I’d say only Evans and the keeper are nailed on starters at the moment.

To be fair if the window closed now, we could certainly field a not too shabby looking side, definitely offensively. Harper - Evans - Downes is a nice trio in the middle, all with Championship experience.

Pretty sure Harper has been signed to play. I think he's perhaps viewed the anchor in the middle that we've not had in years.

Maybe. He’s quite young to be a nailed on starter though. I have no idea what kind of player he is.

I think Bonne is signed as a back up to Norwood. Penney is a left sided midfielder who can play LB so expect a proper LB to still come in.

Harper is going to play in the front 3 behind the striker, they are attacking midfielders, he won't be one of the two deeper midfielders... who will be Evans and AN OTHER, could that be Nolan?

As I stated Bonne will absolutely play where Norwood has been.... so there is a number 10 position free... could Norwood play that?! probably not, hence Norwood and Boone will interchange. Dobra closest we have on the books now.

CB, DM, No10, more winger cover, and maybe left/right back over...

Penney literally says his best position is fullback:

A big experienced centre back is a must, after that, not really fussed - don't think we can keep more than 2 strikers happy, and Norwood has to start as first choice for now given his form over Bonne's. We have quite a few central midfielders, plus Donacien, Toto and (I think he should stay) Kenlock in defence to cover. Maybe some more width, left sided winger?

The footage on Harper shows him as very mobile, but he seemed to me to be mainly roaming about like a lither version of Skuse rather than an outright attacker
