But Jerra, the article posted by the OP doesn't mention and British Military going AWOL. If you read it, it is ostensively a report on a warning from Boris to servicemen and women not to go AWOL else face court marshal, and then references a 19 year old from Warrington with no military training, who is believed to have gone and then mentions that a small number are believed to have gone awol. No names are mentioned, and it reads to be rumours amongst the military, certainly nothing is confirmed in this article, beyond what is already on social media.
I don't see why the press should not report on what is simply a warning from the PM that our service personnel should not go? And then make vague reference to rumour already available on Twitter.

Even that article linked stresses no British military.
There is no way any army personnel would misconstrue that message and you would think/hope/assume they will be briefed on such matters anyway, given the nature of their job. | |

Like say it really does compromise lives and enhances the opportunity of political prisoners too. Maybe another excuse to heighten things against the UK. It complicates things.
