Feel sorry for PC

All his recent successes in management shown up as only achieved because of Leam.

Ones about to be promoted to the champ again. Whilst the other ruins another clubs promotion hopes..

Oh how I swallowed up his management successes as a sign for patience lol.

Interesting to see their complaints are almost identical to ours, right down to avoiding the press conferences.

What's the story with their previous manager Rowe? To say they don't like him is an understatement.

Left by mutual consent after allegations of misconduct. Being investigated by the police; going by the thread, they seem to think he must have done something bad. Took over AFC Fylde on 7th March and has a record of W4 D1 L1 after leaving Chesterfield with a win percentage of 55.6%.

Out of interest, he was born in Ipswich.

I think this has really destroyed his career. I assume he went there as he has affiliation with the club, they looked like they needed a few wins to possibly win the league and it was a win/win situation for him. He comes in, does an easy job with a great team at that level, gets another promotion on his CV and suddenly it all like Ipswich Town's fault for his only failure.

I can completely see why he felt it was a no-lose situation, but somehow he has very much lost it if they don't even finish in the play offs.

Yep - "Same happened at Ipswich. He went and they have turned it around".

Along with a few less polite comments re what some of their fellow-fans, who for some weird reason seem to like him, might have for their Sunday lunches ...🤢

I did chuckle that he is persisting with 4231 despite apparently not having the players for that formation

I thought I'd posted on here earlier, but obviously not

I had a quick look at their results. He's managed to turn a ~1.9 points per game average into a ~1.2 points per game average since he went back. Quite impressive. It does seem to suggest what many people were thinking; he needs Leam Richardson (who is favourite now to win L1).

When you look at some of the bright, young managers in our football at the moment it does make you wonder why clubs still go with the old school approach. West Brom for example have made a big mistake in appointing Steve Bruce IMHO. They are yesterday's men.

Didn't they lose their top scorer because of injury at the same time Cook went there.

Tbf I think sitters said he lost a few. I did see 2 leg breaks in 2 games I think.

What was daft tho was when he said he wouldn't change much as 3 at the back had them up there. He took 2 games before going to his 4 2 3 1. And results speak for themselves...

Had a glance at the last page - this comment is pretty telling:

So, instead of 13 points from a possible 33, we'll improve it and make it 12 points from a possible 30 and a loss percentage of 40% (4 games in 10) compared to only losing 2 games in the previous 27 whilst accumulating 55 points at just over 2 points a game.

Everyone else around them with games in hand as well. Borehamwood 9 points back but with 3 games in hand.

Ahaha

Reminds me of early in this seaso. when some of our fans were desperately insisting that last seasons results didn’t count, despite Cook having a win percentage of 0% without them

I looked at is at the total opposite. Very high risk as he didn't have to go there, would easily have got another League One job. If it went well the foundation was already there and would only be a true success if he got them back to the top end of League Two. If it goes tits up, then he could easily be finished as a manager.

What is it with ITFC and destroying manager's careers?
Or maybe it's actually Evans and destroying manager's careers.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.
