Another heinous crime on a child 16:41 - Jul 22 with 2601 viewsgtsb1966

Really grim reading this and utterly incomprehensible. Should we deport them to Poland to serve their time there. I would imagine Polish prisons are a lot tougher than ours.

It's a mother and her partner horrifically torturing a poor, innocent child and the pair of them deserve to rot.

Such evil acts are hardly exclusive to being from Poland. So not sure what them being Polish got to do with anything.

Absolutely heartbreaking. No kid, or adult for that matter, should ever have to go through that. Absolute scumbags the pair of them, I hope they rot in prison.

Sleep well young man.

I don't know why you would imagine that, our prison conditions are pretty poor compared to much of Europe, and suicide rates for instance are much higher in UK prisons than Polish ones.

I was just wondering If prison way of life was harder out there hence wondering if they would get a harder time.

Bring it back.

Especially for scum like Ian Huntley.

How much does looking after that c**t, and others like him, in prison cost the UK taxpayer? Waste of resources.

Although the thought of a child murderer or kiddie fiddler sh***ing themselves every time they leave their cell knowing eventually someone will get them gives me more satisfaction.

It's awful, but we don't know from that report whether the two perpetrators are Polish citizens or not. If they aren't, then deportation isn't a consideration.

If they are then they could I think ask to be considered to serve their time in their home country. Also, if they are they'll probably be deported after serving their sentence even if do their time in a UK prison.

It does beg the question though that in cases like this why should the perpetrators ever be let out. In some cases they aren't. I think that crimes of this severity should come in to the category of life means life.

It may come into the category of a whole life sentence. We'll find out when they're sentenced.

Here's a tip:

Don't read them.

Seriously.

I stopped watching Game of Thrones after S1 E1 because a kid got thrown out of a window. I just can't do it, either as news or entertainment. I knew enough from the OP not to click the link.

Don't click it. Spare yourself the detail in future, for the good of your mental health.

That's because the death penalty would inevitably lead to innocent people being killed.

Have a read up on Stefan Kiszko. The crimes he was convicted for (child killer) would undoubtedly have led to his hanging. Which would have meant the state killed an innocent man.

The crimes in the OP are abhorent. Killing innocent people is always abhorent. Be that the young lad in the OP or people like Stefan Kiszko.

It won’t, the Welsh couple who tortured and murdered a 5 year old only got over 20 years. Huntley didn’t get a whole life sentence either ( though he won’t ever be released). Bloke will get around 25 years the Mum around 18 years.

The guy who raped and Murdered a 13 year old then murdered her mum, brother and friend will get a whole life sentence if found guilty in October.

I think you're probably right. Rosemary West and Levi Bellfield are amongst those with whole life orders.

The dreadful thing to have to remember is that, no matter how heart-breaking any given murder is, there's almost certainly a worse case.

Just looking at the detail of the case, in one incident he hit that poor kid over 100 times even had to stop to wipe sweat from his head and then started hitting thd kid again.

Lock him up but don't give them any protection and then he can experience being hit continously for 100 times

Trouble is none of this pseudo macho stuff brings the innocent child back.

Where the hell were the authorities [yet] again?

How can this level of prolonged abuse go on undetected in the first place?

"Where the hell were the authorities [yet] again?"

There is insufficient funding and we rely on over-stretched services picking up the right referrals and prioritising them above all the others. The current situation with safeguarding issues and mental health requires massive funding boosts not the cuts we repeatedly get.

If you want a more effective social services sector, you need a Government that will invest in it rather than focussing on tax cuts and giving public funds to the rich.

Although I agree with every word you've said I was thinking wider, including his school.

And for that matter other people he came in contact with who could have alerted someone in authority.

It just seems such a huge thing to miss.
