All I'm saying is don't give up on Celina... on 20:24 - Aug 1 by Veggie
Clearly doesn’t want to be here does he?
Not while there’s hope of more money somewhere else. I don’t blame him, as it’s a short career and his is going backwards. I wish people would take their proclamations of loyalty with the massive pinch of salt they deserve. It’s just a job to them. He was saying exactly the same things at Swansea as he’s been saying for us.

I think people need to stop being so childish. He can want to be here as his realistic first choice option and the terms of the deal not be right - they aren't mutually exclusive and it isn't simple.
I guess where I differ to several people is I think a fully fit Celina is a huge difference maker at this level, and he was several times last season. He should have been a priority for me early in the window but it doesn't seem he has been. You have to trust we know what we are doing but I hope we don't regret it.

Our fans need to give it up!
For every game he made a difference in last season there were 3-4 where he went missing and didn’t contribute, you can’t carry a player like that in league one
You should step back into the real world. Celina is a jobbing mercenary operating at the limit of his limited talent.
He went an entire season here in France providing zero assists and zero goals - and is still bleeding Dijon dry for giving him an over generous contract.

Not really true is it.
Very easy for us to say, but if you are currently on £25,000 a week, are you going to sign here for £10,000 a week when you can still get £25,000 elsewhere.
I don't think so, and I don't think you can blame him either.

The stats would suggest he wasn't a huge difference maker, with only 6 goals and 6 assists last season.

He’ll be very much at home in Turkey

That's true.
But the eyes would also suggest with strikers performing at even the League One average from November he'd easily have twice those assists and it would look very different.
Celina should be nowhere near League One. He's far too good. But he also can't beat 7 men on his own. He would have been amazing to have back but clearly Ashton was only prepared to pay a certain amount and I'm happy to back his judgement there.

I agree, let's hope we don't mess this up and get another striker in.
shots on target would be a start, some of the keepers at this level are not that great .
We are definitely still missing something.

Too many limits there ellers.
