Under Evans ownership names of decent players were always leaked out before signing a deadbeat pension seeker, somebody else’s throw out or cart horse.
Under the current regime it’s rare to hear anything before the press conference. That’s good.
As it goes, I will be pleasantly surprised if we sign another forward because for me that’s the final piece of the jigsaw if they offer something a little different. Agreed. I’d get rid of it. It’s only there as a form of made up excitement curtesy of Sky. Watch them sweat and get red with excitement with their silly yellow ties in the studio while a load of dopes stand outside PL football grounds wishing they weren’t there.
I’d get rid of the loan system too. Benefits the big clubs mainly though with anything up to 50 players on loan (Man City - 38 and counting). However, clubs lower down getting promotion via other clubs’ players is just wrong for me. | | | |
