We can do both. And re Taylor — he's very much not sitting on the bench if, as is entirely possible, we lose Morsy or Evans for a period. He's also at an age where he can improve and become a key player by next season. We can't afford the rest of the season to be a high wire act like the last two months have been, yes it's been a bit freakish but this stuff recurrently seems to happen to us and there will be more of it. |  |

Just a gut feeling, but I wonder if McKenna feels he can play slightly higher up the pitch in a number 10. He's quite clearly not going to get in ahead of Morsy or Evans, and if we also sign Luongo, he would then give back up to those 2.
I imagine Taylor will also be seen as a long term investment, ala Leif Davis. |  |

From what I've heard the belief in the club is Evans won't last the season (based on fitness stats), Morsy will prob get banned for a few games, and CH was running on empty. Hence we need another midfielder...
