For me, this fella is another important piece of the jigsaw puzzle.

If we are going to have any chance of signing him, one thing we can do as supporters is reach out to him and let him know how welcome he would be here.

Just saying .....

With the players signed, do we need him? Or would that just be greedy and giving ourselves problems with excessive numbers and expense?

If I was a Player and suddenly started getting inundated by messages from fans of a particular club that I have absolutely no relationship with, if anything, it would solidify my decision not to go there.

Well for a start I'm not really sure we need him. For his position we already have Harness, Broadhead, Chaplin, Aluko, and Edwards. That's a lot of options, most (if not all) of whom would be guaranteed starters for most sides in League 1. Phil mentioned yesterday he thinks it's unlikely to happen and I'd be surprised if we're still actively pursuing it.

Then there's the question of whether spamming someone's timeline or DMs is an effective way of making them want to join your club. If it was me I'd probably find it a bit irritating.

I can quite imagine Jaimie Peters career going in a very different direction if, as a young player, he had signed under Keiran McKenna rather than Roy Keane.

On a tangential note I was always sexually confused by Jaime Peters’ curvaceous womanly backside.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Honestly, if Rangers are in for him, we could get Ed Sheeran to stand outside his house and sing him a love song to try and get him to come here and he still wouldn’t unless we’re blowing them out of the water wage wise. Can’t see it happening but money talks above anything else in this game.

Not going to happen unless things change to an unlikely degree, no dialogue at all at present.

He signed under Joe Royle didn't he?

An odd signing in many ways. At the time we thought we were signing a wonderkid, and although it didn't quite work out like that he became a reasonably solid right back option for a while if memory serves. In fact wasn't that under Keane?

I think he came on for his debut in the infamous Mark Fish game at QPR. What a strange game that was, those of us who were there will never forget it. Peters nearly rescued the game for us, looked very dangerous on the right wing. And Sam Parkin scored too! A bizarre game.

Ashton's already done his job - helped stoke up a bit of interest, Swansea looking to cash in, hopefully disrupted Plymouth's season a bit! Or am I being cynical?

I might have this wrong, but isn't Braodhead our alternative to Whittaker. Doesn't he effectively play a similar role (off a striker and able to operate wide too)?
