If Bale was English then he could well have been the difference between losing and winning in semi-final and final matches.
World Class players have to be consistent in terms of their performances and there is huge pressure for them to do so. I do wonder how consistent players 30, 40 years ago were as their performances weren’t all under the camera lens. | | | |
