End of an era today - have I been a curse? 08:22 - Feb 18 with 2299 viewsDubtractor

Since 2002 I have walked down Felixstowe Road/Bishops Hill towards the ground, and today will be the very last game I do as I'm finally moving on Thursday. Feels a bit odd in a strange way that my pre match routine is going to change, but in considering this I wondered whether I have actually been a curse, and my move might be a sign of improved fortunes for us?

Let's face it, me walking this way since 2002 hasn't exactly been a good omen has it?! With this in mind I now feel much more confident about our chances for the rest of the season.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

Let's hope so!

Good luck with your move. Slightly altered my pre match today as well, waiting to hop on a two hour flight back to the UK with the hope of being at PR for 3pm!

Staying in Ipswich, but moving to a completely different area. Much bigger garden though!

As fans we love a routine, but it’s only in our own minds we think it makes a difference! I did 40 years of Chantry to the ground, the glory years, the lows of the mid-late 80’s, the ups and downs of the 90’s, the ups and downs of the noughties, and the just plain downs of the Keane-Jewell era. I moved December 14’, an upturn , so we thought! No, it got worse. I moved to Felixstowe 51 weeks ago, totally different trip to a game, same results!😂

Good luck. Bigger garden, more weeds. Bet you won't miss walking up Bishops Hill after a game.

Ah, but that just proves you're not the butterfly which is affecting ITFC.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Good luck in the move Dubbers.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Ah, the famous Ipswich suburb of Burnley. I’ve heard that you get more for your money out there.

Any one of these will do Dubbers. I'll be looking out for you.

As a kid, and before I moved out of my parent’s house on the Rivers estate, I would go either down Cliff Lane or sometimes via Bishop’s Hill just for a change. Never noticed any correlation with results though

Every game I have been to we have won. Every game I haven't been to we have drawn or lost (home games).

I'm not going today, sorry for this.

Ah Bishops Hill - "a lovely place god wot"

Lived at no. 62 or 64 for a few months when at college around 1973 - lodger with a lass named Catherine iirc, & her younger bro. (Bernard?). Wonder if they're still around.

I am hopeful this change will put an end to the post 2002 malaise.
