A mate of mine was in the early stages of seeing his now wife, she was on holiday with her parents and when he asked what she was up to she mentioned she had just been to the hotel gym. He replied something along the lines of 'I'll make you hot and sweaty when you get home'. Unfortunately for him in the meantime she had given her phone to her mum to show her something, and she read the message as it popped up.
Best man shared this anecdote during his speech and it went down a storm. He turned to the brides dad and said how he must be as cool as ice. Without hesitation he replied 'it's OK, she's still waiting'. Hero. |  |
