Must be galling being an MK fan and basically having away fans take over your ground every (other) week.
Realistically probably only happens about three times a year (us, SheffW and Derby, maybe?). Other times they're seeing 120 from the likes of Fleetwood, which must make the place feel very empty.

I was sat on the opposite side and captured a few chants. Loud, but not always sustained, and I kept catching the crowd noise as it faded.
Inflatables looked great, flare boy should have held on a bit longer, at least making it to the half time pint.
I also caught the MI game last year from the home end, MK were even quieter this time around.
I know that one poster poured scorn on another thread, but the "we're the left side/ right side" was by far the most sustained chant all game and sounded the loudest from where I was sitting (on one of the sides). Keep it simple and more will join in.

It's one of the best chants there is!
I can't stand 'we've got super Kieran McKenna' personally.

Peterborough and Oxford are likely to take a decent following there due to proximity and one would assume Bolton and Pompey would be well represented.
Think it really highlights the acoustics problem at PR because it wasn’t that loud, but the sound obviously carries much better.
I could also clearly hear MK when the 100 or so of them were singing at the other end a few times, whereas I can’t even hear the other side of the North Stand stood in Section 6.

The "Left Side / Right Side " chant makes me chuckle - but that's just me by the sounds of it

That's very true. Indeed, sat in section 3, I can never hear the away fans.
The other thing was that the whole of our away section was in view, and in hearing, so that all of the songs were sung in unison, something that is much more difficult at PR.

"We're the finest football team..." is my most disliked. Doesn't scan, doesn't rhyme. Every club sings it and it's just awful.
It does scan - unless I'm missing something?
Also, sorry to be pedantic, but I have to point out that other teams claim to be the greatest, whereas we are uniquely the finest football team!
On a serious note, I don't mind any song or chant that galvanizes the crowd and encourages the team - surely that's the whole point of making some noise?

I don't know why people get so prissy about it. It's harmless and it gets people singing.
The 'no fun at football' crowd are an odd lot. First to start crying about 'no atmosphere', first to start crying about people trying to create an atmosphere.
I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

I still don't like it and it doesn't galvanise me, so please choose one that does.

Aiming for the (subjective) 'right kind of atmosphere' is fair. Ideally should be getting behind the team as that can have a positive effect. That said, any atmosphere is better than no atmosphere. Right Side-Left Side feels a bit panto, and I'd prefer something a bit more constructive, but it's better than nothing.

Reminds me of a play-off semi-final back in the Burley days. Fans were singing "keep the blue flag flying high, from Portman Road to Wembley...". Every time the song started, a pillock in front of me would shout out "Chelsea song, Chelsea song". I like to think I am generally a patient soul, however after he did this a couple of times, I regret to say that I snapped and told him to join in or feck off!

The bloke was clearly an idiot, why would a Chelsea song include Portman Road?

Chelsea fans had been singing it at the FA Cup final a week or so before (from Stamford Bridge to Wembley). That said, I couldn't understand what the idiot was trying to achieve. Although after I had a go at him, he didn't shout out again (although he didn't join in or feck off either!)
