Those who went last night 10:41 - Apr 26 with 4798 viewsLord_Lucan

I just watched the Barnsley fan video that was posted earlier.

Gotta say, town fans looked brilliant. What with all that's going on and the importance and nerves of last night, that looked like a "Happening"

How good was it?

Admittedly I got nervy as the 1st half went on, especially with some passes round the back which were too close for comfort. But after the two goals I thought we had it in the bag. Even the penalty miss (which was a very light penalty) didn't make me worry. Barnsley just didn't do much in the 2nd half. Ref was woeful.
Fans were amazing so noisy, even at half time

Just watched it myself looking for myself haha

Have to say it was immense

Felt quite nervous beforehand but there after it was never in doubt

Every fan to a man was singing and cheering the guys on

My voice is shot today - loved it !

Yep, I’ve never seen so many people stay at their seats at half time making noise.

We kept going pretty much the whole way through. Even in the 20-35 minute period where it usually gets quieter and we were under the cosh a bit, it was very loud.

I went for a pee at half time and rushed back - downstairs was pretty good as well but anyway someone came back near me saying Milts was downstairs singing like crazy with a set of lads. Not sure how true this is but amazing of so

Quality night under the lights. There was a break in play for the physio to come on in the first half, after a period where Barnsley had been on top, and every single town fan in there belted out a deafening continuous “Blue Army” battle cry just when the team needed it. Wolfie and Walton were looking at each other her and just nodding like ‘damn that’s some support’. I like to think this contributed to the brace at the end of the half. UPPA TOWEN.

That was brilliant, carried on through it all which was at least 2 minutes. Like you say I definitely think that assisted as we had gone a bit flat in the stands and on the pitch prior to that.

Amazingly brilliant! Summed up at the end by Connor Chaplin, who stood in front of us staring up at the Town fans in full voice after all the other players had gone down the tunnel, he looked amazed and just stood with a huge smile on his face taking all it in. The pre-match drink in the East Dene WMC was great as well.

That moment will never ever leave me.

Proper deep loud BLUE ARMYS fist flying in the air, it got louder and louder, and seemed to last 2/3mins…. Which doesn’t sound a lot, but it really was insane

My prostrate remains an issue but I have (and I know you are concerned) taken steps to address my anal bleeding.

I have very cleverly taken out medical insurance in the belief that the NHS are so inept that they haven't logged my previous concerns so I will be covered - thus allowing me to pave a private probe inserted into me rather than an NHS one.

I will keep you in the loop.

It looks brilliant on that. Like Saturday it’s noticeable that from those video pics the home supporters constantly looking at the Ipswich supports with the racket they were making. Well done all. Looked amazing and can only have helped the lads.

Took me back to some of the big days at Portman Road in the Burley years, when the whole ground got going...

It must have been immense for the players, as usually they will be concentrating on the game, but as this happened when the physio was on, I reckon it will have given them a real feeling of being backed.

The East Dene WMC was good. Shout out to Joe Fairs, Ben Bloom and Blubfish with his boy. Great banter.

Met a bloke who had told his wife he was off to the pub earlier in the day, She didn't know he was in Barnsley.

Have you seen the vlog by the Sheffield Wednesday fan who was there?

It's funny as a group of town fans had clearly gone for a half time drink and came running up the stairs when we scored. They disappeared then back down the stairs. Only to come running back a minute later when we scored again.

Imagine being there and missing the first two goals!!
