I have quite a few vegan friends due to Leitrim being rammed full of hippies. Amongst them are this couple who i imagine have been vegan for at least 5 years. But the last couple of years they just keep growing. 1 of um must have doubled in size, I can only imagine they living off vegan junk food, whatever the feck that would be? If I were a vegan, I would stick to healthy things like pulses, vegetables, nuts, which are not necessarily expensive, and when it comes to oat milk, there is this very cheap alternative to the manufactured versions.

Exactly this and is what I ate when I was vegan in the 80's.
Anybody thinking that eating heavily processed, factory produced pretend meat is going to save the planet is dreaming imho as they are still buying into consumerist driven business as usual it seems to me. |  |
