Still trying to escape from New York or LA I reckon.

Yeah, a few weeks after he signed for Town if I remember rightly! Certainly some talent but no guts or heart. Luxury player suited to when things go well.

Definitely was a good player somewhere in there.

seems forever a go he signed for us, didnt realise how young he was at the time tbf! Not sure what went wrong for him really he had talent but maybe not the desire to be the best, who knows.

Meh. The rich man's Piggot.

I still have no idea what he was bought for. He wasn't fast, clinical, overly skilful at binging others into the game or good in the air.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

He came here with guts and heart but had both beaten out of him by two very poor managers who never played to his strengths. In the end he basically gave up.

But I remember a period during Keane's time here where he was doing everything but scoring and running up quite a few consecutive MOTM performances.

I remember being at PR when all 4 stands chanted "you don't know what you're doing" at Keane when he took Priskin off.

There is no doubt he was hear under two appalling managers. Not to restart the who was worse debate but Keane in particular was the completely wrong manager for the player that Priskin was. I saw some games too where he worked hard but when you say he just gave up, you're right and that's probably why I saw a lack of heart / guts.

Looked up the team he was playing for and it looks like their ground has got a block of flats in it (although I appreciate it is actually a hotel).

Yep, the lack of thought that went into that signing typified the early years of Evans' ownership (see also Magilton's stockpiling of central midfielders). That we overspent so much on non-achievers like Priskin or Martin or even decent but ordinary players like Norris epitomised the lack of coherence at the club.

It says very little for Keane either as a judge of player or man-manager to get so little out of Priskin having identified him as a potential signing.

Indeed. Complete contrast with McKenna who has a clear plan of how he wants his team to play, identifies the right players to suit the system and pursues them.

George Hirst being the perfect example.

Was it David Norris on Undr the Cosh who told the story where Keane dropped him from the starting XI because he didn't like his body language in a pre match meeting. I imagine that the relationship between them may also suggest why we didn't get the best out of Priskin.

Great moment vs Arsenal though, and that offside overhead kick.

Something to make you shudder Steve. Town line-up versus Hull away 20th Nov 2010
Murphy
Eastman
Smith
Delaney
O'Dea
Edwards
Livermore
Leadbitter
Norris
Colback
Scotland

Subs: Fulop, Priskin, Wickham, Peters, R Murray, Troy Brown, A Townsend

Has to be the narrowest starting 11 in Town history. 4 primarily central defenders, 4 primarily central midfielders, Edwards and Scotland.
That was the day I knew Keane was clueless.
We lost 1-0.
For Jewell, his day finally came for me in the most dismal game I can remember, 4-0 away to Burnley midweek.

Wonder if he ever smashed any of the windows.

Reminds me a little of Grays Athletic's old ground which had dressing rooms in flats where a stand used to be.

Definitely a player who redeemed much of their short comings with one special goal. I remember I heard town celebrate that goal when I was working around the top of Clapgate lane (near the edge of Gainsborough). Despite being p'd off about being denied the night off, hearing that cheer all the way out there was a magical moment.
