El Mizouni on 18:36 - Jul 5 with 2869 views | Herbivore | Makes sense. He was excellent there last season so easy for him to settle in and nailed on to be playing every week, but this time at a more competitive level. If he does on League 1 what he did in League 2 then he'll either come back here and compete for a place or he'll move on worth a fair bit more than he would be now.

El Mizouni on 18:54 - Jul 5 with 2614 views | WestStanderLaLaLa | I was speaking to an Orient fan the other day about him. The names of bigger clubs interested plus they had signed a couple of midfielders meant he had reluctantly given up on getting him. He’ll be delighted.

El Mizouni on 19:09 - Jul 5 with 2452 views | Nutkins_Return | Great move for Orient. It will hopefully guarantee him football. Could make it difficult for him to really show he is ready to step up to us (if Orient struggle). Was half hoping he'd go to a Derby or a Charlton. Hold down a spot and show progression. That said if he has has a great season there and helps them do well then that's brilliant! Good luck Idris!!!

Recall clause in January is confirmed on 19:19 - Jul 5 with 2400 views | unstableblue | If he's carried on his blistering form into League One... then maybe, just maybe, he could come back in. Morsy, Taylor, Luongo, Ball, Evans.. will they stick with that or will one of Ball or Evans leave and there's another incoming?

I’d say this is a fantastic reflection on the boy’s loyalty and level headedness …

Evans will be 29 in the summer. He's played 20-30 games a season in each of the past 4 seasons, which suggests he isn't the most robust of individuals. With Taylor signed, I reckon there's a good chance Evans is moved on this summer. His contract is up next year.

El Mizouni on 20:12 - Jul 5 with 2118 views | the_toff | Good move for him. I’m sure they’re picking up the tab on his wages and perhaps a loan fee too given the competition for him. Hopefully he does as well this season as he did last. Might be in for a surprise with the ‘teams in L1 will play more football’ bit though.

I’m surprised tbh. Two reasons. One of the bigger clubs like Derby would be prepared to pay a higher proportion of his wages and I thought he’d be better in a team challenging for a promotion place rather than one that will presumably be looking to stay in the league. He’s very popular there so perhaps a more permanent deal is being looked at if they stay up? [Post edited 5 Jul 2023 20:37]

Knows he’ll be a big fish in a small pond there and that’ll do wonders to his confidence, maybe? I wouldn’t be surprised if he joins them permanently at the end of the season. He’s still got a way to go to break into our team and will be nearly 24 at the start of next season. Time’s running out (to be brutally honest).

Perhaps El Miz is nailed on to start at Orient every week, while at Derby or such like he could spend a lot of time on the bench.

El Mizouni on 20:57 - Jul 5 with 1928 views | Trequartista | Glad he has gone on loan rather than flogging him, otherwise not really much point loaning him last season. He couldn't have done anymore, so makes sense he moves up a division and maybe he will be ready for the Championship next season (for us or someone else). If we do stay in this league, Luongo will be out of contract and Morsy knocking on 32 so that's the challenge for him now.
