An opportunity to see how Adhame gets on if nothing else.

Looking forward to watching it - firstly, it's still football, secondly to see how Ahadme gets on and, thirdly, as a happy reminder we're no longer in the third tier.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?

Probably the sort of thing a Chelsea fan would say about us. I hate this kind of sneering attitude to lower league football.

And they would be entitled to their opinion. I hate Reading.

We've just spent 4 years there, with every single team we played putting 10 men behind the ball, celebrating a draw at Portman Rd like they'd just invented w@nking, and watching about 20 minutes out of every scheduled 90 because Accrington/ Forest Green etc were trying to puncture the football with knitting needles.

Lower league football is atrocious.

Fair to say it's usual League One fare at the moment. Reading wearing a change strip for absolutely no reason too.

If we get to Premier League then a good number of our fans will be celebrating a draw at Etihad, Anfield, Emirates in the same way those League One fans behaved when they got a point(s) against us.

Having seen Chelseas new away kit which is blue, and initially being puzzled by it, Ive realised that its inevitable that within a couple of years, teams will only ever wear their home shirt at home. They will then sell a variant of their home shirt as the "away shirt" and then a 3rd kit when there is a colour clash.
It will make a 3rd kit more of a standard thats worn more frequently. And the commercial bandwaggon rolls on....

Only just realised the referee is Darren Drysdale.

Wonder whether anyone will question his Judge-ment tonight?

Essentially, ITFC will end up selling two blue shirts every year- the home one and the away one.
And it makes sense, as people are more likely to buy the traditional blue shirt, but if there are two, youve covered more bases to appeal to fans. And some will buy both.

Reminds me of the classic Narwich balls up up of three yellow and green kits. I hadn’t realised that about the Chelsea kits this year. Their away one is a nice kit (better than the home one imo), but that’s taking the p1ss. And so is the £130 price tag (not sure why they’ve got 2 price levels and don’t really care!) https://www4.chelseamegastore.com/en/chelsea-nike-away-vapor-match-shirt-2023-24

Yeah think the Norwich thing was more about them being thoughtless than any commercial acumen!
The Chelsea kit is supposedly 90s retro, but no idea why. I think they sell a pro version and a replica version these days.

£130 for a nylon football shirt?? Wow. It says:

‘Nike Dri-FIT ADV technology combines moisture-wicking fabric with advanced engineering and features to help you stay dry and comfortable

Informed by athlete testing, open-hole fabric in high-heat zones helps you stay cool when the game heats up’

It’s a nylon shirt ffs!

For that kind of money I’d want at the very least a full sized air conditioning unit attached.
