Best indian restaurant 18:30 - Sep 12 with 2451 views | Tractorgirlforever | Hi, i was just wondering what the best indian restaurant in town is. I dont live in the area but come over quite often for the football but ive never been to an indian restaurant before and fancy going the weekend after next. Any suggestions will be appreciated. I stay at the mermaid so anywhere between there and in the town centre. Thanks

Best one I had relatively recently was on the A12 near Bypass Nurseries but that's no good to you. In all honesty they are pretty much of a muchness but I suppose I would plump for Passage to India.

Is ghandi no longer there or has it just gone downhill?

Best indian restaurant on 19:19 - Sep 12 with 2216 views | dickie | I've always had decent curries at the Jorna on Wherstead Road. Other than that Maharani and a Passage to India have always been decent
Best indian restaurant on 19:47 - Sep 12 with 2129 views | NeedhamChris | It's not really in town - but my local in Needham is the best I've had round here (Curry Inn)

Zaika is in St Nicholas Street, near Trongs. and Id double check on the reviews on the Passage these days before Id go there.

Desperately trying to find 'that' thread... I really liked Maharani when I went after the Leeds game. Was hammered though. Royal Bengal in Woodbridge used to be great.

Bengal and Shapla are far superior to anything Ipswich has to offer, especially since the Ghandi closed down. But clearly not ideal locations if going to ITFC.

Ha. "That" thread tickled you didn't it, bloody boy is a tvvat isn't he. I had the second worse Indian in my life last night, it was only beaten by the meal I had a few weeks back in the same place. Roti in Norwich, terrible stuff, tastes like something my wife would cook. I am in the middle of major tooth surgery and I am currently toothless. I have been eating curry for two months solid as I can't eat solid food until I have my new shiny white Rylan style implants screwed in.

Best indian restaurant on 09:51 - Sep 14 with 1370 views | iamatractorboy | Indian Ocean in Bramford is my favourite round Ipswich way, but Zaika is also very good. Someone else mentioned Chutneyz, it is rather bare bones inside and not your typical 'Indian restaurant' but the food is delicious.
