Last Question at the Fans Forum 20:01 - Sep 13 with 4124 views | LA_Tractor_Boy | Jesus wept, all the great things happening at our football club and the bloke at the end starts complaining that he can't walk from one stand to another after the match. Embarrassing.

Awful and negative on 08:40 - Sep 14 with 3505 views | unstableblue | It really did mildly sour what had been a pretty good fans forum. And how does it make McKenna and Ashton feel about the fan base? I’m sure they see the wider pool! I think the compère and organisers need to be a bit more mindful of who they select. The final question guy had already asked one and his demeanour was clearly all wrong and negative.

He was also talking utter nonsense, as I saw people leaving that way last match.

What an odd question for a fan's forum on 09:17 - Sep 14 with 3410 views | Dyland | Sounds a very specific question that can't affect or bother even a sizeable minority of fans. It would be lovely to have a completely open and spontaneous Q&A with no vetting (i.e. club control over topics) but unfortunately we as a species have too many fvkwits with no self... actually, no awareness at all, so it may be better for these events to have prepped questions that give as much otherwise unpublished information for as a wide a set of interests as possible.

I dunno, it's an utter pain trying to get to the station from the North Stand after the game. No chance of making a 17:09 train, even if Greater Anglia were bothering to run one at the moment.

Fair enough Stevers. I've not tried to do that since PR has been rammed. If I'm getting the Lowestoft train I've always waited for the 18.17, and London bound no earlier than 17.43 or whatever that one is. Drink in Beatties or whatever Legends is called now... but also haven't done that (from North stand) since we've been packing out the ground. Us lot share driving duties these days cos the trains have been so sh1te for so long. In all fvckin directions. It's enervating and infuriating and driving removes a lot of stress from the day. And keeps me sober for a few games... which until a year or so ago wasn't a great experience :)

Maybe the club should liaise with Greater Anglia for time changes, even additional trains, especially with the extra time being added at the majority of games.

TBH, if I really needed to get the train I would just head to the exit to leave at the final whistle which should be enough. It's the five minutes getting out of the North Stand that's the issue. A very minor downside of success. Given the number of fans, would expect GA to see it as an opportunity, well I wouldn't but you know what I mean.

Last Question at the Fans Forum on 11:10 - Sep 14 with 2920 views | RonFearonsHair | We used to have hordes of people steaming through Churchmans from the Pioneer whilst we were trying to leave through our legitimate exit point, many of whom would ignorantly barge my children out the way with no sense of self awareness. I for one am delighted it has been blocked off and allowed us a safer experience leaving the ground and I couldn’t care less that it has added 2 minutes their walk. In fact I let out a right chuckle when I saw how angry he was. [Post edited 14 Sep 2023 11:36]

As we now seem to have an army of people appointed who can "look into things", do you think thesre's any chance of them asking First Bus why they almost invariably manage to schedule a single-deck bus as a football pick-up on the 66 route. I realise that it may have been nobody's job to notice that there has been a large surge of passengers around 5 pm on alternate Saturdays, but perhaps we could use our new-found influence to make First Bus aware - and, if it isn't remedied, can I have permission to have first dibs at asking this at the next supporters' meeting?

To be honest, our route from our seats in the Pioneer stand used to be to go under that corner of Churchman's, but only just past the Players Lounge as far as the stairs up to Legends/Beatties by the lift, which wouldn't have even interfered with the exit routes for people sitting in the SAR stand at all, if anything, plenty of them would've been leaving to exit via the main driveway too, rather than from their 'legitimate exit points'. We now have to exit via the driveway, around the outside of the Suffolk County Council building, and back in against the flow through the Churchman's gates to get up to Beatties, by which time, they're often calling last orders shortly after we've got up there, which is a little frustrating compared with last season. (But it wasn't me asking the last question at the Fan's Forum!)

The main driveway was a legitimate exit point for Churchmans as that’s where our entry turnstiles were. But it was hazardous to use due to the stream of people unnecessarily cutting into the stand against what should have been the natural flow.

I don't know whether I've just been extremely lucky, but every time I've got the train back to London, there's always been a train on the platform, or only a few minutes away. I get the feeling that they wait for the train to fill up before leaving.

"... can I have permission to have first dibs at asking this at the next supporters' meeting?" Only if you're extremely verbose and wave your arms around pointing in all the wrong directions. Apparently.

Indeed. Would it kill the club to build a direct tunnel with a moving walkway from the North Stand to the station, FFS

But that's no fair, I have to go past the station and walk up the hill to my car. There needs to be a piggy back ferrying system possibly of ex players to save my poor old legs -)

Didn't want to let it go did he! 😂 I laughed when he added waiting to find out about it until after the first home game as another criticism, as though he would have expected a letter prior to buying his ticket.

Personal helicopters included with each seat is the obvious answer, but I bet Ashton’s too much of a cheapskate to pay for them. That’s why the Brizzol City fans fell out with him. Def info. [Post edited 14 Sep 2023 19:30]

Sounds like great transport planning. Let’s have the train leave just before everyone can get there. Genius!

That's been the case for evening games since the end of 2004. The operator prior to that (Anglia Railways?) used to hold the 21:43 to London for 10 minutes after an evening match and then the franchise changed and it became a choice between leaving on 90 minutes or a very late return home.
