Keith Stroud 09:41 - Sep 24 with 3008 views | Dubtractor | For all the worrying about him before the game, I thought he actually reffed the game fairly well. Sure, there were some decisions we'll have disagreed with, but nothing too dramatic, and I think he got the big decisions right overall.

That was the one decision I was going to mention FWIW - looked like the Blackburn player did exactly the same to him in that incident with no foul even given. But if a harsh yellow is the worst incident then he can't have been that bad!

Yep, by his standards he was ok really but certainly felt like he needed to make more of an impression on the game to satisfy his ego second half so started using his whistle more and getting his yellow card out. Can tell he loves himself though by the way he points and uses arm gestures like a tinpot Mike Dean.

that one and booking Hirst, even the Beebs live text just described it as "George Hirst (Ipswich Town) is shown the yellow card." nothing they could discern either for what the actual offence was. plus he gave some weird free kicks against us it was "good" only in the sense that he didnt make any absolutely rotten decisions that cost us the game, and you saw all match we were having to do the prevent the time wasting goal kick yellow card routine. Blackburn didnt bother with that.

Hirst's was for playing the ball after the whistle had gone. Hirst seemed to be protesting that he hadn't heard it. Personally thought he was fairly even. We're very aggressive in the tackle and he let play carry on for some challenges that other refs would have blown for.

Keith Stroud on 13:10 - Sep 24 with 2263 views | RobTheMonk | Thought he was alright. The Morsy one was probably a yellow for the reaction although I thought he was being fouled. Hirst yellow was fair. Massive clamp down on kicking the ball away this season so even if he didn’t hear the whistle, you can see why it was a yellow. The one that was borderline was the hack down of Hutch. I think it was a yellow, but I think the law needs to be changed for tackles like that. Ultimately for Stroud, not a bad game.

Tbf if he didn’t get booked yesterday he would have been booked in the next game. Arguably Huddersfield away is probably easier on paper than Hull at home so maybe it’s better he miss that one.
