is the first part of the Brighton 'courting' McKenna

Maybe we should do a banner to warn them off?

Assume tongue in cheek given the great job De Zerbi is doing?

They could try harder and offer Evan Ferguson as well!

The same Real Madrid that just gave Ancellotti a new 2 year contract?

No. McKenna is going one way or another at some point.

May as well extract maximum value from the situation if indeed that is what's happening here.

yes because Ancellotti has been linked with the Brazil job and Real wanted to make sure they upped the compensation if he goes there

That would be trying very hard

I don't quite get the logic of loaning a player to a manager who you then dint want to manage them essentially?

If that was a way to 'seduce' a manager to join you

Definitely.

If some people can't learn Joe Pigott surname properly then this one is going to be far more difficult for them.

Not worried at all - he inst ready to leave Ipswich yet. Dont read anything into this except its a loan deal that works for both clubs and having him at Ipswich and how we play is better for his career development and ultimately them

Said the same thing to a mate this morning , I think both parties admire each others standing in the game , it may come eventually and there is nothing we can do about it ……hopefully not just yet .

You think it might come in a season or two? They take McKenna off us after sacking De Zerbi and we appoint De Zerbi as we overtake them?

McKenna is going nowhere until he takes the England job, having won the Champions League with Ipswich for the second year in a row.

Broadhead is out of form, Hutchinson’s final product has been off lately. We aren’t creating good chances (managed just two on target against West Brom). Unless we improve our service, no striker is going to get goals.

None of which is a criticism of our squad - they’ve been unbelievable. It’s just football and sometimes form drops off - extra competition and creative players are definitely needed.

I did expect to have him play a game before someone asked these questions!

Maybe Matt Phillips/Jed Wallace/Grady Diangana/Brandon Thomas-Asante is a better player for them right now? Maybe they have a better understanding with their players?

If it creates better chances for our team, allows Broadhead to fill the gap up front, offers better than Scarlett was offering, what is the problem?
