is the first part of the Brighton 'courting' McKenna

Maybe we should do a banner to warn them off?

Ashton mentioned we have a very good relationship with Brighton a few weeks ago.

Assume nothing more than that helping here.

hope so

if not I feel a very strongly worded banner will be in order

This time last season we just missed out on getting Ferguson on loan from them didn't we? If this player is half as good as he has been, we will have done well.

When has loaning a player from a club ever resulted in the manager being groomed to go the other way?!

Maybe the OP was heavily laced with sarcasm? Perhaps there is a clue in the banner comment?

Is he any better than , Omari, Broadhead, Burns?

He’s been at WBA but not playing - why?

Is this deal really a priority right now?

Thank you for your analysis and insight - and there was me thinking that McKenna fella knows exactly what we need. Silly me!

Don't see McKenna going to Brighton except for a day out maybe. ITFC has the backing of Gamechanger, Ashton in many an interview states that Town have no limit to what they can achieve. But of course this takes time and money, you are not going to end up with 14 or 15 players capable of competing in the Premier League over night. We are only half way through our first season back in the Championship and just as it took time looking at what we had last season at Christmas and a very similar pattern happened where we struggled a bit coming up to Christmas then recruits came in and it took a few weeks to get them up and running it will probably be the same this season. Whether we will be capable of the fantastic run we had last season is debateable, but not out of the question if we get the right people in.

I wondered if it might be the opposite - mckenna saying "look what i can do to your footballers".

I think when he leaves us, it would probably be to a club like Brighton. But I agree with you that he isn't likely to leave this season.

Definitely.

If some people can't learn Joe Pigott surname properly then this one is going to be far more difficult for them.

From the bloke who can’t even spell our manager’s christian name properly….
You’re a parody and I’m heading for a whoooosh, right?

No doubt they are watching KM, but this loan deal has nothing do with it other than the fact that we have a similar playing style makes it a much more appealing place to send their players than WBA (or any other club for that matter).

yes because Ancellotti has been linked with the Brazil job and Real wanted to make sure they upped the compensation if he goes there

Perhaps Brazil are just going to forget the Ancelotti and De Zerbi intermediaries and go straight for McKenna ?

If he is better than Harness or Jackson then he improves us for at least 20 minutes per 90, given McKenna typically replaces at least three forwards per match.

And that's before we consider the "versatile cover in case one of the three you mention are injured" factor.

And also: it looks like McKenna thinks he will improve us.

Surely Jeremy is not that difficult ? I know, let's call him 'Clarkson'...
