A wonderful boxer who was tactically beaten by Ali with the boldest and craziest sporting win strategy ever.. watch “when we were kings “. Best sporting film ever. George came back in later life and fully redeemed himself ! Amazing person

It was an age of amazing fighters and Foreman was certainly one of those. I’ll never forget when he bounced the great Joe Frazier round the ring like a rubber ball. Boxing at the time was absolutely brutal.

The Rumble in the Jungle? The greatest of them all and the one man that transcended sport at the time Muhammad Ali totally mugged him off. But George certainly did redeem himself in various ways from boxing to religion to grills as time went on. A great character he became friends with Ali in later life.

Yes, When we were Kings is a much watch if you are interested in boxing of the period and although it got panned by the critics, the George Foreman film is worth a watch. I enjoyed it anyway.

RIP George. The last of the great three: Ali, Frazier and Foreman.

Does this affect the warranty on my grill?

Fun facts from the article on BBC: he was married 5 times and had 12 children. 5 of those were boys, all named George!

Keep hold of it.

They’ll be worth a fortune on eBay in a few years.

My hobbies include being quiet during trips, clapping with songs, and diabetes.

A business contact of mine from Houston used a driver who claimed to be George Foreman's brother. Well, he did have 3 brothers so it's possible!

married 4 times so shared it around a bit so I guess not all the George Jrs lived in the same household. Save multi confusion. 2 of the daughters were adopted, presumably children from one of the wives previous relationships.

Initially had a classical straight boxers stance with abolute ramrods of jabs and right straights. His style was probably too orthodox and inflexible which allowed Ali his rope a dope strategy to succeed as he just punched himself out. Some athlete and one of the hardest hitter ever seen. In his re-incarnation he was bigger and slower but fought with a lot more ring savvy. Oldest world champion in his 40s. Great character, how many grills were sold by his personality alone. I know I was always tempted ! Sucker for a hard sell.

My son in laws grandad has just died and he found an unopened tube of Woolworths kitchen foil.

I'm want to put it on EBay.
