Given that he played 3 times for us last season, he's very unlikely to feature in our plans in the Prem.

I would guess any loan this is likely to be League 1, which wouldn't prepare him for the Prem.

Is there a long term future for him at ITFC? He's been around the squad for 3 years and hardly featured.

I'd love to see him succeed with us, but it seems he treading water or going backwards. Might be best for him to find a permanent home?

Does anyone have any insight as to how the club view him? ahem @ITFCjoe

I would hope and Oxford or Portsmouth might take him in loan but it probably will be a L1 club. Hopefully a good one. Barnsley would be a good shout.

I like Humphreys and thought Derby were interested but I may be wrong. If he went on loan I would put him up. I live in a picturesque village 10 miles or so to the north.
But if he came to live with me and showed a bad attitude I would say "Oi Humphreys no! I know you are a professional footballer but if you do not make your bed in the morning you are out on you're ear."

Do I need to get my coat?

Wycombe were in for him last Jan. Because we couldn’t get cover the deal didn’t happen. Wanted to play him as a 10 as well.

Be interesting to know where McKenna reckons he'll end up playing. Seemed to be kept around as left footed cover for Leif and could see him in that role. Thought his brief cameo at 10 a couple of seasons ago looked promising. Not sure he's really built for a CM role with the way we play.

Completely wasted as a full back but game time will be minimal as a CM so it’s a Championship level loan I suspect.

I wonder if he might actually get more game time here now.

He's one of others who has bulked up a bit and the prem is more of a chess game than other leagues so his attributes might be better suited to it despite his lack of actual playing time.

This theory that players have more time on the ball in the Prem is utter nonsense though.

Prem players just look like they have more time on the ball because they’re so much better.

Just that prem football Is more of a chess game than other lower leagues imo.

Based on some video analysis I saw, he would be a perfect replacement for Luongo. In that Luongo's role is dropping to cover Leif when he bombs forward. If I was Cam I'd just try to model my game completely on Mass

I know there are Championship clubs interested in loaning him as well as League One. Club want to send him out, but to the right club.

Would be great to see him get Champ experience.

Do the club see a first team future for him?

I know he's rated very highly. I'd guess it's difficult to tell where he's going to end up without him playing regular football.

I went through all the championship teams (still can't my head around they are below us) to see which manager, team, etc would fit him...there were a few but I still didn't see an out and out temp home for his development....will be interesting where he ends up.

Versatility can be a blessing and a curse for young players. Can give early opportunities as they can fit in different positions but then can be seen as a jack of all trades master of none. I think he needs to nail down a position now

Middlesborough and playing for Carrick for a full season must be an option.

Indeed and Hull before they got rid of Rosenior would have been a good'un.

Oxford given their penchant for past Town players, but they seem to have far too many central midfielders anyway.

I've heard that he's a real homebody and isn't keen to move too far from home, so Oxford would seem like a possibility. I'm not sure how true that is btw, could just be idle speculation

I was thinking that too ,the problem for him is finding a team that can give him a regular first team spot.

A number of potentially very good players have been a bit of a victim of our rapid success, have they not. Players who might have been working their way into the squad or even the team next season in the Championship you fancy. Humphreys, El Mizouni, Ndaba, Baggott...

I hope one or two of these can get good loans and do enough to get into an ITFC Premier League squad of 2025/26. (those who have left won't obviously, doh!)

Particularly if he/the club are set on him getting minutes as a CM. Probably easier if goes to a 10 or LB/LWB role
