"He flicked to kick and I didn't know." 10:03 - Sep 17 with 3025 views | Sharkey | Who here has several Subbuteo teams in Town colours? And if you could keep just one team, which would it be? (For what it's worth, I have none. I have a strange array, including Brazil on claret bases, which to this day makes me half-expect some claret in the Brazil strip.)
"He flicked to kick and I didn't know." on 10:59 - Sep 17 with 2911 views | Swansea_Blue | I like my orange 2015/15 away kit on Santiago bases. I've a couple of the older ones back from when I was a kid in the late 70s/early 80s, but the quality isn't as good and I gave those a good hammering so they've seen better days.

All my players were stuck together with some sort of jelly like glue. Super Glue didn't exist then.. I used to love it, I had floodlights, a stand, fans etc. Brilliant! Cricket Subbuteto was also fantastic.

My mum used to fix injured players by melting their feet ( or whatever they had left) and just sticking them on the base.... they all got smaller and smaller over there years! | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Indeed it was and that turned the player into a real free kick specialist in the mould of Stuart Pearce or dare I say it Neil Thompson.

Our Dad's draw glue was Bostick... bit to soft for Subbuteo injuries!

You get the idea. They were all the same ones. I still have mine. Anybody want a game ?

However my 'keeper' got knelt on and is now supported by a matchstick. As you do.
"He flicked to kick and I didn't know." on 20:46 - Sep 18 with 1988 views | Warkystache | I bought Ipswich Town. It was also Everton. The box didn't make it clear. I tried drawing John Wark's tash on one of the players with my mum's mascara stick. He looked more like Yosemite Sam after that. My mate Chris broke one of the goalies stick pole things, and sellotape slowed him, so we only had one moveable keeper. Plus the felt pitch never laid straight on our dining room table so one corner was like the Eiger.

Splendid. We used to play home and away games where the away team could not move their goalkeeper.

Mum choice of carpet was a gamechanger for my pitch , a new very very hard-wearing short pile choice meant I could iron the baize on to produce a pristine Wembley surface! When finished it would peel off like velcro

First off, I'm not exactly sure where they've got to, but I had Brazil (very glossy paint), Peru, Chile and Uruguay. All the players were black except the goalkeepers, who were white. My game of choice was Peru v a team in green and black striped shirts, - I think it may have been Coventry (a), but I could be wrong. I suspect I bought some of these because they were in a sale. (I didn't have either Ipswich or Colchester, who I supported.) I bought them in Harper's in Colchester, which was a proper sports equipment shop, ... which is maybe why I started this thread in the 'Football' rather than 'General' section.
