Hirst looked very decent. Chaplin was very good, buzzing around with a point to prove. Szmodics did well and for 55 minutes, Cajuste was good. Phillips was one of our top perfomers and Leif really looked much more positive. Despite the tri-fecta of og, pen conceded and sending off, I actually thought Harry Clarke did ok. Delap is currently a force of nature. That's actually a lot of postives to build on! |  |

Spot on. It was a good game to watch overall, much better than against Everton where we didn't lay a glove on them. Hopefully Chaplin and Hirst will realise that they can perform at this level after today. |  | | |

Sadly, the overwhelming negative is that our defending isn't good enough at this level, largely because we have an indecisive keeper & his antics adversely affect the whole defence. An unbelievable waste of £8m. |  |

Sadly, the overwhelming negative is that our defending isn't good enough at this level, largely because we have an indecisive keeper & his antics adversely affect the whole defence. An unbelievable waste of £8m. |
I understand the frustration with the defence but it is fixable and we have enough evidence to assume once Greaves and Axel are back we will be a lot more solid. It is certainly not all doom and gloom, we just need to keep progressing each match. | |
