Not if it looks like that.

And if people complain about the electric charging infrastructure, wait til they try and fill up with some hydrogen.

Soon the cars will have electrolysis systems built in, then you'll just need water!

I've hailed taxis in Argentina that were hydrogen powered, and been told off for using my mobile phone whilst they were refuelling. In fact we had to get out and go and sit on a nearby bench at the filling station until they were done.

That is a lot better than taking 43 minutes to add 40 miles at a cost of £8 for electric charge, at a recent BP garage with a BP account.

Hydrogen is really cool fuel for heavy transport, plant and power generation but can’t see hydrogen fuelled cars catching on.

Think you need to find a better charge, mine never costs that much.

But stepping away from this issue, Hydrogen is crazy inefficient compared to just electric. In some cases (depending on how the hydrogen is produced) you'd be better off just driving a petrol car in terms of environmental impact. These things are completely pointless right now. Maybe they'll get better but I doubt it unless we find some incredible way of capturing, storing and shipping hydrogen around countries without losing energy along the way.

Hmm,

Used Fastned the other day (topped up around 140 miles in around 10 mins), £28 for that.

That was a neighbours loan Peugeot 208 or 308 or 3008 (can't remember) electric while his van was in for repair, he was showing me his mobile app while telling me about it.

For me, hydrogen was the way to go rather than lithium ion battery powered vehicles. The only byproduct of hydrogen power is H2O, but efficiency is poor. A hydrogen powered vehicle is about 40% efficient, whereas a battery powered car is about 80% efficient.

Plus the problems you'll have finding places to refuel are few and far between. Would be good to see this technology improved though so hydrogen power becomes a serious alternative.
