Are you often ‘towing a zeppelin behind you’? (Assuming that’s not some kind of euphemism?)

Soon the cars will have electrolysis systems built in, then you'll just need water!
Hyundai Nexo on 10:53 - Nov 26 with 1824 views | WeWereZombies | I've hailed taxis in Argentina that were hydrogen powered, and been told off for using my mobile phone whilst they were refuelling. In fact we had to get out and go and sit on a nearby bench at the filling station until they were done.

That is a lot better than taking 43 minutes to add 40 miles at a cost of £8 for electric charge, at a recent BP garage with a BP account.
Hyundai Nexo on 11:15 - Nov 26 with 1735 views | Horsham | Hydrogen is really cool fuel for heavy transport, plant and power generation but can’t see hydrogen fuelled cars catching on.

Think you need to find a better charge, mine never costs that much. But stepping away from this issue, Hydrogen is crazy inefficient compared to just electric. In some cases (depending on how the hydrogen is produced) you'd be better off just driving a petrol car in terms of environmental impact. These things are completely pointless right now. Maybe they'll get better but I doubt it unless we find some incredible way of capturing, storing and shipping hydrogen around countries without losing energy along the way.

That was a neighbours loan Peugeot 208 or 308 or 3008 (can't remember) electric while his van was in for repair, he was showing me his mobile app while telling me about it. [Post edited 26 Nov 2024 11:27]

Hyundai Nexo on 13:46 - Nov 26 with 1415 views | blueasfook | For me, hydrogen was the way to go rather than lithium ion battery powered vehicles. The only byproduct of hydrogen power is H2O, but efficiency is poor. A hydrogen powered vehicle is about 40% efficient, whereas a battery powered car is about 80% efficient. Plus the problems you'll have finding places to refuel are few and far between. Would be good to see this technology improved though so hydrogen power becomes a serious alternative.

And whilst filling up at the services, you'd probably be able to buy some ham sandwiches to care for the local foxes too.
